    Doubled up their hamza 😉

Too many good Xiaomi deals. This is gonna be my 4th purchase tonight!

    • +4

You sir/ madam are a champ. I have these earphones and they are best I've ever had.

I've been buying pretty much every generation they update on haha.

Folks were saying the KZ ZS3 were better but they're not. Cant hold the highs or mids or lows up to the Xiaomi.

      • +4

Yep already got them. Christmas sorted basically.

      • Kz zs5 are out of you are interested

        • not sure aye. might try again in a while

  • I ordered kz-ed9…..

    • I saw this, looked into them and bought a pair.
Very nice… Give the Xiaomi 4's a run for their money, I've purchased a lot of headphones that did't come close.
      Cheers Dude.

      • Hey. Thanks for the feedback on these. I ordered a month ago through gearbest and they haven't arrived. :(

        • Mine took over a month, recently received something I'd forgotten about from 10 weeks ago.
          Patience.

        • @noone025:

Probably with paying the extra 50c for priority shipping next time. I did this and was surprised that it only took about a week to arrive.
Not exactly sure how it works but mine came via Australia post (with an Aussie Post label).

        • @edrift: What was the tracking history like? Mine's been stuck on Approved by Australia Post for a while now. I used AU Express Priority. Just wanna know how many days it took to clear customs. Thanks!

I need a good reason not to get this. Someone please help.

    • +6

Great headphones with solid bass and excellent build quality. I use it everyday and it hasn't worn in the slightest, great anti-tangle cord with a nice gold plated jack. This one will last you ages, comes with a plethora of custom sized earbuds in a nice soft touch matte case. I recommend it to anyone who's on the edge with this thing..

      ..

      .
      ..

      ..

      buy it. >:)

      • +1

I second this, as I am buying these the second time even my though my old ones are still going great. :)

      • Problem is I already bought about 5 this year :(

    • I recommended these to a friend and within 2-3 months time one earbud has already lost sound.

      Take that as you will.

  • is it really a steal at this price? i dont know much about this one i know its very popular here. i use sennheiser street cx200 ii at the moment. can you compare it to this?

    • +1

Cx200 are budget single driver iem.
These are triple hybrid iem (2 drivers and 1 armature).

Think of it like a single speaker home theatre system Vs a multi speaker system.

I challenge you to find a cheaper triple driver iem.

    • +1

haha my CX300 ii just pass away (wire loose) good timing. tho i was looking at Bluetooth headphone.

      • the comfort difference between a bluetooth headphone and wired headphone is like the difference between a hdd and a ssd. I think it is really worth going with the newer technology.

        • +1

So you mean Bluetooth is better?
Too late, I have paid already but hey I can still see more improvement coming to Bluetooth headphone.

I was looking at Mpow Jaws. but it costs a lot here.

Errrr just find out I can buy it directly from Mpow in AU.

        • @windwai:

i wouldnt go with in-ear if it's bluetooth, though. i would go with on-ear or over-ear. Because in ear ones are still kind of wired.

        • +1

@baldur: I would be afraid of losing an in-ear BT.

        • The only affect BT has on comfort is the wires. Wires can get in your way, but they don't affect comfort. What affects comfort is the earpiece itself, which has nothing to do with wired or BT.

    • +1

Wouldn't say a steal. It's $3 less than the usual price or thereabouts. But it doesn't get a whole lot cheaper than this. I think the lowest I've seen it at is $18.99. It isn't often at that price though.

If you're thinking about getting them, you may as well do it now. Waiting for a further sale might not come any time soon.

  • +1

Curious and keen to try … are these any good ?
I am currently using Sennheiser Momentums and Bose wireless. Not to compare to these given the price difference, but some user review that can describe sound quality would be helpful …Thanks

    • +1

If you are on a budget I would definitely give this a shot as I purchased the previous generation of this (hybrid) for $22 and it's working fantastic. For $4 extra I presume an upgrade in quality and I was also skeptical about these chinese brands but I'm amazed at the quality of these headphones I wonder how much they pay the workers to make em but they sure do the job. Surely much better than my apple earphones which after one month the left side started to die, rubbish.

      • +3

For $4 extra I presume an upgrade in quality

Not really. Just different sounding. Some say it's worse.

I was also skeptical about these chinese brands but I'm amazed at the quality of these headphones

A lot of Chinese brands are known for cheap quality, but Xiaomi (Which is on the higher end of Chinese brands) make quality products. The standard $5 pistons are hard to beat.

I wonder how much they pay the workers to make em

Not much, I can assure you.

Surely much better than my apple earphones

Apple pack-ins are garbage, and sell for $30 to boot.

        • Cheers for the clarification, hahaha really happy with the quality they put into the hybrids I was really excited when it came and the nice packaging was a bonus…can't complain with quality bass on full volume with my parents not listening :)

        • +1

they pay their workers less than they pay our politicians …. but at least the workers don't have to lie about being paid by a chinese commercial interest unlike our politicians.

      • thanks.

      • FYI 3-4 years ago a Chinese worker in a coastal city can earn about 1000 AUD a month;

OPPO,FIIO, XIAOMI,HIFIMAN are all Chinese brands

  • Does the coupon work with the Mi IV Hybrid as well?

  • Waiting for the Bluetooth version. Will come in handy when working out

    • I've never owned a BT in-ears before, but wouldn't it be easier to lose or drop it by accident? If it slips out of your ear while running.. At least with a wired one, it will still be attached to your device if it slips out of your ear.

  • Guys I'm not an expert so I was wondering how does the gold plated jack benefit the headphones I presume I gives resistance to twisting the jack over time? I've had many headphones and after twisting them many times I found the headphones lose quality in one ear and eventually dies and I was wondering if my xiaomi hybrids are safe from this.

    • Primarily corrosion resistance from what I understand

      • Ohh…corrosion from what exactly? With my silver plated jacks you usually have to twist them in the hole to get the right sound or one ear stops working so I hope this is not a problem with my xiaomi

        • With my silver plated jacks you usually have to twist them in the hole to get the right sound or one ear stops working so I hope this is not a problem with my xiaomi

That's the sign of defective earphones. You probably hear crackling when you twist it also? And there is a very tiny "sweet spot" where you can hear audio in both ears, but it's so sensitive that if you touch it slightly you lose audio in one ear? Yeah, one wire inside is loose or damaged.

Try putting another pair in. If twisting it does not affect the sound, or lose quality in one ear, then yours is definitely faulty. Try and get them replaced if they're in warranty.

        • That's spot on, so far my xiaomi has been pumping out quality so no problems yet but from apst experience sony, samsung and apple earphones have been crap.

    • the twisting isn't damaging the gold plated jack, it's damaging the wires inside that are connecting it to the earphones.

Gold plating will not give resistance to wear and tear damage from twisting. These will die just like any other if you twist them a lot. I think flat cabled ones break easier from twisting, but that's just my theory. I've had a few flat ones die.

Also, if you like to wrap your earphone cable around your ipod when you're done listening to it, that will put some wear and tear on the earphones also, and they will eventually die. I do this all the time, but since Pistons are so cheap anyway, replacing them isn't a big deal. I wouldn't do that for these Hybrids though. I'd put them in their case when they're done. For heavy duty use, I stick to the cheaper Pistons.

  • I've never looked into these before. Two dynamic drivers (one for lows/mids, one for highs) and one full range balanced armature driver? Why have two different types of drivers cover the same frequencies? Not saying anything is wrong with the earphones, seems like a great price. I just don't understand the logic behind the design.

  • These are great ear buds, especially on the price value. I have been using these for 6 months now and they are really comfortable and sounds great.
All I can say is you have to try it to believe all the good comments on these. For what it is worth, there is no need to hesitate.

  • +1

so i had a piston 3, and when this was on sale 2 weeks ago i bought it, to be honest it does not sound any better than the piston 3, actually piston 3 has more bass and punch while being just as clear as these pros in the mids and lows. and also keep in mind while the headphone piece is of better quality compared to the piston 3, the cable is plastic, i cannot belive they downgraded the cable, the piston 3 was braided and tangle free, these ones are plastic and tangles, i used it once and stored it in my side draw, still using the piston 3's

  • Rubber cable was the deal breaker srsly what a downgrade

  • Does anyone know where to buy spare rubber tips for these? My one feel off and I want to replace it.

    • Buy the cheap basic "Fresh" $6 ones to get the spare tips.

      • $6 for tips is expensive. Don't they sell them separately?

They are standard socket anyway. You can get them from other earphones.

    • If you want foam tips which in my opinion are better, grab them off Ali express for about $1 a pair.

      • I can't find any which are for sale for the Xiaomi… maybe I'm using the wrong search terms on Alixpress

        • +1

Use comply's website to find the right size http://complyfoam.com.au/ look for "find your fit". Once you have the size search for foam tips on ali express as they are the same as comply but way cheaper. The sizing will be something like T200.

  • These have a "V" shaped sound. That is clear treble and bass heavy. That's good or bad depending on your view. For $30 I find these to be great, possibly as my 38 year d ears have some treble loss. I actually sealed the small rear vents and found I preferred the slightly tighter bass sound. Really nicely made, build quality rivals thes best of anything I have seen.

  • Does anyone know if xiaomi still make the 2.0 gold pistons that smelt like chocolate? my favourite pair after having those and the hybrids.

  • Code has expired:(

  • If anyone ordering these receives an opened pair, let me know .. I'd like to know if it's common.

Gearbest insists its ok if new are opened but I'm hesitant about accepting what looks like returned product for something that goes in your ear.

    • I bought a bunch of different Pistons and none have been opened.

  • darn.. missed the paypal conversion note. missed the code as well as expired but still bought anyway based on the feedback here for $US22.99. Just been through way too many sennheisers to pay another $100-150

  • Bought these the last time they were posted. The ones I received were utter trash, and definitely fakes. Gearbest refused to refund me - they wanted me to ship it to them before they refunded. Or they wanted to send me like 5 bucks or something. Ridiculous.

The sound was crazy tinny (worse than those free promo earphones people hand out) and it was muffled to hell and back. Nothing like the xiaomi pistons 2.1 which I had been dailying for years before I received this.

    • If you paid via Paypal you should have return shipping cover.

      • I should, but I didn't. After opening up a dispute and taking it to paypal, paypal gave a final option of a partial refund. I haven't accepted it yet because I'm not sure what else I can do, because it's really unfair. If I paid for a product that had a gamble on being genuine or not it is a different story, but gearbest claimed to be selling originals

        • Dispute it with your credit card issuer. That's your last recourse.

  • thats probably a return as mine were sealed asf

  • Mine arrived today. Impressed with the fast shipping. Seems like it was worth the extra 50c or whatever it was to upgrade to priority shipping.

So far I'm satisfied with the quality. Presentation/packaging was great.
Sound quality is good but I need to spend time comparing to my other sets of headphones to be sure. All in all, a worthwhile purchase
