LL2UBC

I got the LiitoKala Lii - 202 from Gearbest a few weeks ago, great smart charger for the price. Even cheaper when using GB rewards points which you all must have by now from reviewing all the 1 cent products :)

Thanks to GB rep who supplied coupon for the Lii - 202 to make it even cheaper.

Hi OP,just found a coupon for this item at 4.99USD,code name is LL2UBC,could you pls update it to make this a better deal?

    • +1

      Done :)

    • Why does the coupon code make the price go UP??

      • +1

Code works. Just applied code to Lii-202 & price dropped to $6.78AU.

        • Ok thanks, I'll try again

        • @snapper:
Must be logged into account first.
As have already bought, used my alternative account. Code only works on 1.

        • @Infidel: Got it to work once logged in, thanks. Item price goes up but subtotal goes down.

Impressed with the handy Lii-100. Small, light, useful for travel. As always travel with USB charger - don't need power supply for charger as well.

Ordering the Lii-202 with code, but no option in checkout to use my 100 GB points.
[Update] States in "How to use points" Coupons cannot be used together with Points to reduce prices

    • If you have 88 points it brings the price down to $5.61 AU, so really cheap compared to buying elsewhere.

      • Couldn't buy at that price. As it was a choice between 100 points worth au$2.72 off au$9+ (to 30% of value) or code. Would not allow use of any points with code - tried different ways. Still great value just au$1 more.

(Lii-100 was even cheaper when I bought in January at GB with code & then was able to use points to save more.)

Really impressed with the Lii-100. It's the only charger I have for my few 18650 batteries. Great charger, especially at the price.

As I use 1 AA battery in a headtorch while travelling, so only need 1 slot. So good plugging it into USB charger - saves weight & space in bag. But now use it instead of main 4 slot charger a lot of time, so 2 extra slots will be more useful. Also it handles completely flat batteries where many other smart chargers won't.

If I'd originally known about the Lii-202, would have probably bought it instead. So now have both. Thanks for the deal!

Yesterday the price for the Lii 202 was $8.01 AU using 88 points and not using the coupon brought the price down to $5.61. It looks like they raised the price to $9 for some reason, I'm guessing you purchased today not yesterday?

        • @adr8:
Oops, above example was todays price, when I read your reply.

          Purchased 10pm yesterday at us$4.99 = $6.60 with code.
As you say, could have bought au$1 cheaper using 88 points & no voucher yesterday during flash sale.

I'm not worried, just surprised could not use points with code like previous purchases. Looking forward to using the charger ;-)

        • @Infidel:They are great chargers. I also have the Lii-500 and charging identical batteries on both charges side by side they seem to charge the batteries exactly the same. I also have the Nitecore D4 but prefer the Lii-500 as it charges at 1A on all 4 bays and has the analysing function aswell.

        • @adr8:
Interesting with LCD screen & analysis, but not for my needs. Requires 12V & is more suited to home use - I've already got similar charger but lacks charging for higher voltage batteries.

That's now solved with the 1 & 2 slot LiitoKala I've bought from GB for total of about au$10 & they can be linked together with micro-USB charger cable.

GB price is au$28 - nearly 4 times the cost of the 2 slot LiitoKala I bought ;-)

        • @Infidel: I only paid $20.94 using points selecting the EU version which is cheaper because of the flash sale, you get the EU wall charger plus car charger plus AU adaptor and is only $1 more than buying the bare charger.

What is the output 5V for?

    • +3

Can also be used as power bank, according to the reviews the Lii-100 is better at it than Lii-202

      • +2

        Thanks adr8 just bought the Lii-100 :)

      • Tried that with the Lii-100, but did not work as powerbank - no output of 5V unless supplied by micro-USB 5V input.

To operate as a powerbank would require dropping voltage to recharge battery plus additional circuit to raise voltage again to 5V. Seems unnecessarily complex in a cheap charger.

I had assumed the USB port was simply wired to the micro-USB 5V input.

Can you post link to use as powerbank.

        • +1

I have never used it as a powerbank but the reviews I posted in OP both state they can. The Lii-100 is better than the Lii-202 as a powerbank, which is odd because in another thread they did a tear down of both chargers and Lii-202 is just two Lii-100 stuck together so you would think they would perform the same.

          @adr8:
          [UPDATE]
Yes, works as powerbank - but not with 1.25V Eneloops, but does with 18650 batteries!

Thank for that very interesting info. Have a USB light powered from the Lii-100 without being plugged into USB charger- very bright! Voltage reads 5.1V. Even plugged into USB charger, the Eneloops

From review link - use as a Power bank:
When used as a power bank a press on the button will turn the usb power on., which it conveniently does (but only on, not off - remove battery or unplug device for that).

USB output will turn off after 10 seconds with less than 65mA load.
When input power is applied, usb output will be off.
          (Found there is about 2V)
USB output can deliver 1.3A before it starts dropping, the overload protection first kicks in at 2A.

A nice added bonus for those using 18650 batteries. Made my night 🌛

@Infidel: Yes that's right powerbank only works on 18650 batteries, it has been a few months since I read the reviews and threads on budgetlightforum so forgot that. Here is another thread on budgetlightforum about Lii-100 if your interested.

          @adr8:
          I am interested now - thanks ;-)

Some interesting ideas there - have the tiny voltmeter sitting here so could do the mod at the end of the forum & build it into charger… (now temporarily installed across battery under charge / discharge, showing voltage)

          Already loved this little charger…
Couldn't believe it could work as a powerbank as well, so glad you said that. Had only skimmed review & had not read that. Amazing value!

After commenting it didn't work as a powerbank, I removed case from charger & compared board with a powerbank circuit board on my desk - very similar. Checked circuit & found the micro-USB input & USB output were on independent circuits. Realised it needed a higher voltage battery to work as a powerbank. Dropped in a charged 18650 battery & worked.

So basically uses a powerbank circuit with ability to charge different voltage batteries - nice!

Really impressed by the little charger / powerbank!
