PayPal cancelled all my CLAP10 orders and refunded

Paypal cancelled my orders and refunded me for no reasons at all.

EDIT: I trace back my account statements, I was Not given extra money. My account balance is still the same before I paid for the items.

A few days ago I used the CLAP10 code to purchase several items from 6 sellers in one single transaction. The deal went through and I checkout with Paypal. A few days pass there was no emails or updates from eBay regarding my purchase. I checked my eBay purchase history and there was nothing at all.

Curious, I went to my paypal account, there were 7 transactions with the sellers and 7 more transactions where my money was refund. The strange thing is that each of the refund was more than what I paid?

This is a screenshot of my paypal account

I am wondering if anyone know what's going on here.

Upon some digging around my Paypal transactions, it was not eBay who reversed the transactions.

Not sure what was the cause but it looks like you made 11% profit out of it :)

    • I trace back my account statements, I was Not given extra money. My account balance is still the same before I paid for the items.

      • If you expand the detail on the reversal transactions you will see some amount allocated to "coupon" or similar.

Same happened to me when I claimed a refund on an item purchased with discount code.

  • Yeah unless it was important I wouldn't complain. And keep the cash.

    • I trace back my account statements, I was not given extra money. My account balance is still the same before I paid for the items.

  • I called Paypal and whole 10 minutes wait time. I was told there was no reasons given (how helpful), and this is usually due to paying multiple sellers. Then how do I make up the minimum spend to hit the target voucher?

When I mention that I wont use Paypal for checkout for multiple items, she quickly blamed eBay for their system. She assured me that there is nothing wrong with Paypal system.

Why would it be ebays fault, when paypal clearly reversed the transactions. It has to be paypal at fault. Why didnt you argue that point with them.

Maybe report it to the accc ?

        Someone triggered the reversal.

Either eBay decided he was eligible for the code, or PayPal because they were bored or something.

    • ebay and paypal split now. I assume their systems are connected together like they always are but I'm sure with how their management is different Paypal probably no longer wants to provide any technical support for ebay transactions.

you'd have to ask ebay instead.
