  • Pity these promo flights aren't available for weekends

    • to be more precise
"^ Promotional fares not available on Fridays & Sundays."

  • $28 convenience fee! WTF is a convenience fee? Also and extra $8 for your seat?

    • Convenience fee is actually $7.20 per segment, seat selection can be avoided in the booking process.

      • What do you mean per segment? Yes, I figured out the seating part Thanx.

        • For example, SYD-MEL is one segment and MEL-SYD is another etc

  • Use that 10% off link to help offset the credit card fees..

    • Which link?

  • great deal if you can live with tiger airs horrendous arrival times and cancelled flights… just try getting on the next available flight with 100 other people in front of you.. might get on that flight 3 days later.

  • these horror stories are turning me off flying with them. still, $30 return to Melbourne is insanely cheap!

In June I booked and paid for return Tiger flights from ADL-HOB for the family in September. They cancelled the service in July and I still haven't had a refund. Seriously, think hard before you risk your money on this mob.

My $12.85 CBR to MEL one way turned into $81.15 after all the other crap was added. Classic bait and switch.

  • Thanks for the warning guys. I've changed my mind and will fly with a more reliable and honest carrier; haven't had a bad experience with JetStar to date.

  • have a look at the delays today, 8 hours for the morning melb-gold coast run! And they cancelled the last Melb-sydney flight last night

Glad I am not an investor in this company!

I've had a good run on both Tiger and Jetstar the handful of times I have flown them. In saying that I still trust Virgin the most.

If you're going to visit friends and hang out I think tiger is ok (if you can manage to avoid all their fees). If you need to be somewhere on time I'd think twice before jumping on tiger.

Dont forget that http://adioso.com/au Adisio site is great for getting cheap flights.
