  • Can you just remove it right away and still get the ker-ching?

Most of the reviews on Mozilla / Chrome store says it's a bit of a memory and CPU hog, so it's probably something you want to remove once you have received and spent your $5 dollar voucher.

    • Yep, hence my asking :)

You can also build a virtual machine if you really don't want to mess up your browser.
      1. install VirtualBox
      2. download pre-installed virtual machine
      3. follow steps at the top of this bargain

        .4. ??????
        .5. profit!

      • you could also backup your current machine do a clean OS install follow the steps above then format and restore from back up… to make $5

      • You could also just uninstall it after you receive the voucher, as stated above.

Can't see the promo card when I click the Amazon Assistant icon after installation. Anyone experiencing the same thing?

    • Same here. Didnt get any option to redeem a promo. Simply installed and nothing.

      • Looks like not valid in Oz

  • Under the "Install App" button it says available in US, CA etc etc…. BUT NOT Australia!

Thanks OP, worked straight away for me same as last time. Removed straight after purchase.

    • How Did you get it to work? Are you using a dns service?

      • +1

Nope, using nothing. All i have is regular Chrome. No idea why it works for some but not others. Didn't have any problems last time either.

        • Reading last time's post about this offer, it didn't seem like it worked on Firefox. I installed it on Firefox. Will try with Chrome later.

        • Weird. I got this message on Chrome when I clicked through:
This promotion is not available in your current locale. Please check your setting by going here: country settings.
For questions on offer eligibility, please review Terms & Conditions or let us help.

          @underworld:

yeah i think you need to change your kindle redemption locale and add an American address. I finally got it to work after doing this and using Chrome.

I think if you go here :

          https://www.amazon.com/gp/digital/fiona/manage

and go to settings, you can change your country settings there.

        • @hazzad: Thanks for that. You were right, my kindle was au. I already had a US address added. So with that changed, I uninstalled and tried again, but now the coupon hasn't shown up like it did last time. Oh well. Thanks anyway for trying to help me out.

        • @underworld:

Id re-try. I had to install and uninstall a few times to get it to work. Maybe make sure you shut down Chrome after uninstall.

Oddly though it will only work with $100 worth of purchases for me. Anything under that and the coupon isnt applied to my order. Odd.

        • @hazzad: Ok. I finally got it to work. Likely not worth the time it took, but hated it getting the better of me. I had to use a different account since it remembered I'd already installed it. Thanks for your suggestions. I wouldn't have tried again if you hadn't written back. Cheers.

        • @hazzad: btw mine worked for the $25 amount. Are you sure all your items were Sold by Amazon?

        • @underworld:
Yes definately but all were preorder items. Maybe that was part of it. No biggy as it was more than $10 i was ordering anyway.

  • On a side note, I have noticed in the past referal links on pages(amazon deals im guessing) that allow you to get a $5 referal credit. Does this still exist and if so how does one become a "referer"? Ive seen others post of getting referal credits when links are clicked so wondered how you go about setting this up.

    Is It Safe?

  • Didn't work for me in chrome. Said not available for my region.

    • Believe you need to change your kindle locale and address as stated a few posts up. That worked for me. Also to redeem the voucher you need to click into the assistant app icon in your browser. If successful the option to redeem will be there.
