    LOL no GPUs Shopping Express?

Dat $3 AUD per day mining…

    • Before or after the power cost?

      • Haha, I'm not even sure yet, I have to measure it again, but I think last time it was like $1 or $2 a day for the electricity, at Australia's ludicrous power prices, so still some profit (Nicehash Miner actually claims I'm making almost 4 AUD on my R9 280x at the current price but we'll see after a couple of days).

I'm putting the money into ETH though, so the hope is that it appreciates in the long term. The bitcoins I got in the last mining boom a few years back are about 10 times what they were worth then.

        • 4 AUD from one 280x?

I thought these people with 4 RX gpus were making like $10 a day, maybe that was an understatement

        • @jrjr:

4 AUD is before electricity costs, so it's probably closer to $2. It varies widely though, as the prices of the various currencies jump up and down a lot.

I'm also using NiceHash, which automatically mines whichever currency is most profitable that day for my GPU. It's making about double what straight ETH mining is right now.

But yeah, if you have already have a gaming rig, it's worth considering, especially if you have solar power or some place with free electricity.

Group C kinda ruins it, just cheap stuff.

    • It's not just cheap. It's useless.

  • Thanks for the post.

Looking at a 1Tb SSD, the Crucial MX300 looks good. Don't need any items in group B and C but I could most likely save by selling them off (the Belkin chargers look to be the easiest to sell while netting a decent amount back!).

  • Got a ryzen cpu but no am4 motherboard, but on intel side you have a cpu and motherboard.

didn't know shopping express is pro intel
