Do yourself a favour and get the trackball when it is on sale the next time, I did 3 years back and I'll never go back to a regular one for prolonged use

      you mean Logitech M570 ?
yeah agree good for your wrist.

      • Very interesting. Do you game with this? I'd be interested to try it out. I do game sometimes and am curious to how it would feel playing shooters.

        • Nah, used it to work in the office.

Love the price - battery life is pretty bad though.

    • I paid $59 a few months ago and it's been an amazing mouse in terms of performance and portability.

The battery life is also really good, lasts me about 3-4 weeks of heavy use (8 hours a day).

The ONLY things I would change on this mouse:
      1. size - make it just a little bit bigger to suit everyday users. then why did I choose this mouse? because I would like a powerful flagship mouse with unifying (BT and wireless) that's symmetrical and at the same time carry it around with me.
      2. Slot for the wireless USB receiver - when I bought this mouse, I was almost certain that I would lose this little USB if it had no slot on the mouse. Yes I did use an old digital camera bag to carry the mouse around and it still got lost after 2 months.

Apart from that, this product is a powerful little machine.

  • Edit: nevermind already posted

  • MX Master is $68 + $5 shipping + coupons and cashback. For those that missed out on the office works @$79

Good price but I think I'll hold off until the MX Anywhere 2S is at a reasonable price.

    • What's the difference between the S and non S?

      • +5

Bit of an improvement in battery life and considerably higher DPI sensor (from 1600 in the 2 to up to 4000 in the 2S). Also I was reading that it's compatible with Logitech's Flow software that allows it to work seamlessly on multiple computers on the one network.

I also prefer the black that the 2S comes in, rather than those bronze borders on the 2.

It doesn't seem to be up on the Australian Logitech site so here's the US site.

Here's an article about the MX Master 2S and MX Anywhere 2S as well as that Flow software that I mentioned.

        • Awesome reply thanks!

  • Did Logitech just release a new version of this mouse?

    • thats a YES from me.

  • i paid $65 in Jul16

Wait for the 2S. This one isn't compatible with the new "flow" feature. Still a solid mouse for the price though, but not as good as the original Anywhere MX (stupid click problems and durability notwithstanding).

    • thanks for the heads up, just read the new features and definitely changed my mind about jumping on this deal

      • bloody hell, that's brilliant, ideal for my workflow :D

I use the synergy software program (its been on OzBargain in bundles a few times) to use my mouse actively between my laptop (mac) and PC it has a shared clipboard feature like flow (text only though) which fits my needs. Flow is tempting but not enough for me to upgrade from my existing MX. Given the price difference expected with the new 2S it might be just as good and more flexible to get this mouse and the synergy program (which you can use without a logitech specific mouse ie use your laptop built in track pad). Just a thought.

        • @Elijha: thanks for that, do they place nice with each other?

        • @enzioFirenze: pretty good. the occasional glitch which just usually means restarting the app on the client machine (in my case the laptop) but on the whole seamless considering I'm always taking and returning the laptop from the network - probably a lot more solid in desktop to desktop only situation. Definitely worth the $10 I paid for pro all those years ago.

  • Bugger - paid $59 at HN with the deal on here 3 weeks ago!

bought 2 for $93.42 delivered by using code TREAT

For those that arent aware, the middle click is not on the wheel.
The mouse is also on the small side, being a travel mouse.
And battery life isnt quite as good as advertised.

  • Damn, just bought mx anywhere for $59 from GG 3 days ago

  • Same, I got JB to price match the $59 from GG last week (JB were selling it for $79).

  • hopefully not a dumb question.. but my nephew plays computer games and is always complaining you can't do it with a ball mouse… will this one be good for him? Does the fact that its chordless slow the response time to the PC or anything like that?

    Thanks in advance

    • Apparently the sensor isn't great for high precision movements which is a must for many games. At a similar price point, I'd suggest the Logitech G502 if you're looking for a mouse that will be used primarily for gaming.

      • thanks for the info mate

  • I have this mouse and love it so much when I lost it, I bought another one.

  • +1

It's a decent mouse if you are on a Mac without 'normal' USB ports. True story.

  • Bought 2. One for my daughter and one for work. I already have one for home notebook.

Re battery life, I've found it excellent. 2 months minimum between charges.

Concerning my old MX Anywhere v1, that had terrible battery life. I accept that different people have had different experiences with both mice. I'm hoping my new 2 MX2s mirror my current one :-)

  • Bought 2. Thanks for posting

  • Missed out on it yesterday by a short margin, hope it comes in stock and on sale again!
