5.0kw ASTG18KMCA = $1498 x 80% + $50.14 delivery = $1248.54 - $200 cash back = $1048.54 (save $499.60)
7.1kw ASTG24KMCA = $1849 x 80% + $50.14 delivery = $1529.34 - $200 cash back = $1329.34 (save $569.80)
8.5kw ASTG30KMTA = $2349 x 80% + $50.14 delivery = $1929.34 - $200 cash back = $1729.34 (save $669.80)
9.4kw ASTG34KMTA = $2779 x 80% + $50.14 delivery = $2273.34 - $200 cash back = $2073.34 (save $755.80)

    thanks tubs

  • Who is tightass?

    • i think op meant tight455

  • ASTG24KMCA Is $1849 not $1649

    • Soz, fixed.

  • For stingy landlords, I can confirm that the tax invoice shows the retail price (doesn't mention the eBay code or the cash back anywhere on the invoice).
Also, the date on the invoice is the date of delivery so ensure it's on or before the 30th of June…

    • +2

does the invoice show that for normal landlords too?

      • Fair enough, it should be "morally flexible landlords seeking to maximise deductions" then. :)
A stingy landlord would do something like a coin operated toilet or something…

    • You call that stingy?

      Here's my stingy https://www.bunnings.com.au/click-40cm-pedestal-fan_p4441931

      • Yeah! i.e. providing nothing and making the tenant buy their own fan. :)

    • Air con will be in appreciation calculated by how many days in a year, so delivery date after June 30 doesn't make much difference.

      • My bad, I should have asked that friendly accountant lady answering everyone's questions. :)

  • Am also looking to replace my existing AC. What is the opinion between Daikin, and Fujitsu?

    • +1

Many years ago (working for an AC manufacturer) I found out all the OEMs calculate their perfoemance/efficiency (bullshit) except Daikin who actually conduct real world testing in a lab. Worth the extra money in my mind.

      • thanks mate. That is good info to know.

    • +1

Daikin! Very reliable. I work with them on weekly basis

      • thanks for the feedback mate. Dont know where you are located but do you Know any good installer in Perth who can supply and install a Daikin unit?

        • Wouldn't know. Best to get in contact with Daikin in Perth.

  • Why such a powerful split system? Powerful ducted would make sense

    • At my place we can't have ducted. Flat roof and concrete floor. So these are the only option.

      • I get that, but 9.4kW? Isnt that the sort of power only useful for multiple rooms? Or a realllly big room?

        • Yes…we have a large living room with a sturdy…also a little passage that flows into the kitchen and dinning area.
The one we got was about 10.5kw. it was also through a sale like this and $300 cashback from Fujitsu.

I figured might as well get one as big as possible as installation was gonna be the same for any size.

  • Any recommendation or contacts for descent installer for ducted. I just want to replace my ducted aircon.

    • Try Hi-Pages?

I'm looking at getting a split system so want to make a decision on this. Was thinking Fujitsu the whole time but then saw Panasonic also have $200 cash back and is cheaper to begin with, https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/panasonic-cashback Also possible for 20% off with ebay promo as it is on TGG ebay too. What is considered better, perhaps answering my own question but saw a report that said Panasonic is as well as the higher star rating on the 3.5Kw system?

    • Walk in store compare the indoor units of 2 brands side by side. I have Fujitsu and my brother has Panasonic. My indoor unit is noisier, thicker and weaker airflow. But that's 5 years ago don't know much about the latest models of both now.

    • Was eyeing the 5kw Panasonic but it's not available on their ebay page unfortunately :(

      • I think it is?

        • Found it. Thanks.

Make sure you send the proper GG invoice. The paypal one wasn't good enough. Fujitsu are very pedantic. Worst thing is they wont notify you if they reject your claim, so you have to keep logging in to check. I had to threaten them with a consumer affairs complaint too. 3 months later I got my 2 x $200 cards

    • Also had my first Fujitsu claim rejected for no apparent reason. Lots of back and forth with then to resolve it and many delays. The staff were local and friendly, but it just felt like it was going through unnecessary amounts of scrutiny.

    • Thanks Sammyboy. How did you get the proper GG invoice? Did you have to request it? I only have the PayPal invoice so far.

      • +1

I actually ended up going into the store and got them to print one out for me. The only one I could find in my email was the paypal ones

      • +2

They hand it to you during delivery - physical copy.

    • Just picked-up my 3.5Kw unit and received the proper invoice but when entering my info for the cash back it asks for a copy of "Proof of Payment" as well as an Ïnvoice. My Paypal receipt only lists the discounted price. Any suggestions?

      • whats the issue with Discounted price in proof of payment? Also, do we really need a separate proof of invoice?

  • Anyone know how often these units get such a discount? I'll need to get a new split system in a few months, just wondering if its worth rushing into it now?

  • the panasonic deal appears to exclude the cashback if bought via ebay.

i cant see anything about such issues for this fujitsu deal.

    anyone ??

    • No issues! :)

  • Thanks OP. Got 3.5 KW one for the master bedroom. Always wanted a aircon in the bedroom, hopefully installation won't be more than $600

  • In the Receipt Tax invoice i received at the time of delivery I don't see invoice number.I see only Web Order Number, docket Number & sales order number. When i tried to lodge the claim in the Fujistu website it asking for tax invoice number..Also i got a problem in the customer name it has my ebay user id instead of my name.I asked the Goodguys person to change it to my real name they said they cannot edit the online order..I am bit stuck with my claim.

  • Just got an email from Fujitsu confirming my cashback claim is approved. Yay
