May I recommend the FUSILLI ARRABBIATA $19?

    • +3

No you may not unless it is on special

      • +1

It's the cheapest main on the menu, at least in SA. Prices may vary.

      Are you slagging Italians? WTF.

(* under twocsies own definition of 'slagging', vilification and cultural appropriation.)

      • +1

slagging - To talk insultingly to or about someone or something (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/slag_off)

In other words, to "mock" someone.

All caps - " …switching to all caps may make text appear hectoring and obnoxious for cultural reasons, since all-capitals is often used in transcribed speech to indicate that the speaker is shouting."

          https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_caps

Culturally insensitive, anti-diversity and anti-inclusion -> Racist. QED

All this social justice warrioring and virtue signalling is making me thirsty.

I know where I'll be avoiding.

I never eat there, can anyone let mw know how is it compared to other Italian restaurant?

    • +1

fancy looking food and ingredients without the good taste you would expect.

    • Really not very good.
Seek out something better…maybe run by actual Italians rather than whoever they could hire in the local area to mass produce their bland recipes.
Also….their kids meals are tiny…like really tiny…my 7-year-old ate two serves and wanted a third.

    • Well, years ago my colleagues & I went to the one in Sydney and I ordered the seafood marinara. It was the strangest one I've ever tasted - had chili in it. Luckily one of my colleagues and I shared, otherwise it'd have gone to waste. Obviously never went back after that.

Went to the parramatta one couple of weeks ago.
Salad was really salty. Pasta was over cooked, I've never been to a restaurant that served soggy pasta!?
I didn't have dessert, but my friend had the panna cotta said it was much better than the salad & the main.
There was only like another table other than us on that afternoon…

    • Same thing in Canberra!
Their pasta was so overcooked it was falling to pieces. Sauce and meat were too little.

    • +3

Salty here in Perth as well.

Also dodgy tipping as well with the EFTPOS machines. Friend caught on it before giving them a $90 odd dollar tip.

Good news we now know his PIN starts with 9 :)

Yep dodgy practices at Jamie's Perth.
If you book a group over 6, it is 'compulsory' to tip.
Minimum was 10% and being a ozbargainer I tired to negotiate with no success.
Long story short, I never tip in my life in Perth, so I won't be going back.

    • I also went to Parramatta a year or 2 ago and mine was undercooked.

Yummy food 9/10 for me. Adelaide

I'm going to have kids so I can get this.

    • +1

Just what the world needs - some scabinos and/or scabinas!

      • +3

If it's a girl I'm going to call her Scabette.

The benefit of looking much younger than your age. Free kids meal!

    • +6

I look so young I've had women in the street trying to breast feed me.

      • +1

"Kids eat free" just took on another meaning..

        • +3

          I always try and upsize.
