    Average review. Seems big and bulky but potentially a great deal if you don't mind that. Given that it's less than half price you can't complain.

      mavic is a lot smaller and more portable
      this is similar to phantom 3 pro size wize and specs

      great that it comes with 2 batteries
      a base station controller with 5.5" screen inbuilt
      wizard wand
      follow me and watch me
      And the steady cam

      As a mavic owner myself I'm certain you're correct. However, for some people a $600 drone far outweighs a $1600 (Fly more) particularly in the case of either buying a $600 drone or never owning one. This is an excellent entry into the drone world for many people. Infact this isn't even comparable to a Mavic, it's more comparable to a P3 or P4.

      I've read the camera falls a little short compared to DJI but for $600 its definitely an excellent value for money entry into drones.

      Anyone buying please do plenty of research thats applicable to Australia. Drones are getting media coverage for the wrong reasons lately and it's only a minority who are trying to ruin it for the rest of us. Download Can I fly there app, review the applicable National parks websites for your state to ensure you're legally flying and always think first before flying in a new location.

      I own a Mavic Pro and this is great value and much cheaper than the Mavic (Even with the super $999 special)

      This also has the ability to remove the camera and use it as a steady cam whilst hand held, which in itself is worth $300 or so (The cost of a decent smart phone hand held stabiliser)

      I have no need for it myself and I am tempted!

    I have been researching drones for about a year, was so close to buying a Mi Drone 4K in a few weeks, this one looks to have better camera functionality. Before I knew it I was hitting the checkout button on this one, just tuned out and all of a sudden I had bought it XD Thanks OP!

          You won't find a single video showing splashing water on youtube that doesn't do that. Notice how when you change from 1080p to 1440p/4K, the compression artifacts go away significantly, but not completely? Welcome to digital video compression and the relationship between streaming (not source) bitrate and image quality.

      Be careful when taking drones overseas. Check with each country on their drone laws.

      We are currently in Thailand and was told you cannot bring a drone into the country. Our driver said that he knew someone who came to Thailand, was told he had to leave the drone at the airport and was given a ticket. When he went to pick it up on the way out, there was no drone!!

      You must be careful with this too, just because casa says its safe to fly doesn't mean it is. Especially in a parks.vic controlled location. Use the app but it needs to combine more info to make it the absolute go to app.

        I travel a lot, and would like to be able to take a drone overseas. The image quality of the Typhoon is incredible, but it doesn't offer the portability of the spark.

      I really couldn't have seen myself using it much, but looks great value and fun for those with the time.
      I have had a $30 drone for years want to upgrade, but not too much as the kids are bound to crash it, if I don't.
      Never been into selfies but those drones also look cool.

      I contemplated the Xiro before checking out footage from them online. The Q500 looks to be much higher quality and intended more for photo & video, whereas the Xiro is a fun drone with a camera in it too - more of a play thing than a tool. The Xiro is smaller, easier to "just have" with you against the bulky Q500.

      The Q500 has a better controller with built in screen, better dynamic range, 120fps @HD with 30fps @UHD/4k. Plus the camera & gimbal can be removed to be used on the ground for stable shots. It's two to three times dearer than the Xiro too (depending on where you buy it).

      I haven't used either drone, though I bought a Q500 today from the deal because it was the perfect balance of great price + usable quality footage for video work.

      TLDR; Q500 = more professional & better quality footage.

    I've been using a Q500 4k for a few years now ( paid around $1800 for it ) and its a very nice drone. I have a Mavic Pro also so my 2c is

    Mavic is so much smaller and compact and is an amazing drone ( stable for its size ) BUT does require addition of a Phone or Android device so the overall cost is a lot more.

    Yuneec 4K - Large and very stable due to its extra size. Everything you need is there. No Need to have to hook up your phone to the controller, But the controller is quite big also. Also has a more natural mode you can switch on so it moves in the direction you move the stick regardless of the orientation.

    Image quality - had issues with both. Mavic image quality was pretty crap until a few firmware updates and various resets. Also need to tap focus on the mavic ( if you forget you get a crap result ). Yuneec 4K autofocus - edges of image can be a bit soft.

    Yuneec defintely not entry level - it is a very capable drone/camera

        Last time i ordered a delonghi air fryer the box was pretty bashed on one corner..not sure whether it's JBHIFI or TOLL.
