Those Tronsmart Cable looks like the Blitzwolf Ampcore Cables.

    • Braided cables typically look similar. This is a much cheaper deal considering BW's 1.8m is currently $8.49 US and Tronsmart's 3m is $8.99 US.

Love the Tronsmart Brand, but I generally stay away from their Cable after a couple of incidents with the 6 Pack Micro-USB cables. They usually don't last very long.

        • +1

That's why Tronsmart are rolling out braided cables. These were introduced last year and have held up really well.

        • @Clear: Might give them a try when/if they release a Micro-USB Version.

        • +1

Did you have problems with the connector or the wire part? I'm finding the connectors bend after a while.. not sure if the braided cables use the same heads/connectors…

        • +3

@bdl: It was definitely the connector part. The metal would bend out of the plastic casing, preventing the phone from charging unless places at a certain angle.

        • +4

@RichardL: Yep I had exactly the same problem with my micro USB cables - shame, I generally like Tronsmart products and find they are very good quality

I bought some blitzwolf MFI cables last year, 1 dodn't ork out of the box, the other stopped after 10 days.

As much as I hate paying for over priced apple stuff, we've had 2 of their lightning cables for 3yrs treated like crap by the kids & they're still working a treat.

        • @bdl:

I've personally got problems with the connector part in the tronsmart 6 pack.

Generally I think I will stay away from this brand, as I've bought one of the 5 port chargers with 1 port QuickCharge, but I notice that the Volt IQ doesn't charge as optimally as Blitzwolf's Power3S.

          @supabrudda:

According to the ebay feeback, that item does not appear to be a genuine Apple product.

        • @supabrudda: I don't think Apple makes 2m cables, so I'm highly doubtful that they are genuine.

        • I've always heard this but I've been really happy with my white 5 pack micro USB that I purchased roughly 4 months ago. Not sure if they changed the cables or what but my connectors have been great and the cables are nice and thick with full power transfer. I have had one connector fail after 4mos of heavy use with vibration and drops in a vehicle that I'd expect every cable to fail in, let alone one that cost ~$1 each. In less time I've had a previous generation BlitzWolf cable fail with home use - it had a thinner wire, didn't transfer full power as measured with an ammeter, and the connector bent easily. I imagine new models from both brands are improvements.

So, not sure if it's bad QC or they changed the cables, but the cheap Tronsmart cables are actually some of the most durable I've owned despite expecting the opposite.

        • @ethan961: I think it really depends on the batch/time of purchase. The one you link is to the white cable, which might have it problem corrected (compared to the black cable I had).

Also to my knowledge the Gold plated cable are better as my brother currently use them and they are a far better quality.

        • @ethan961: yeah the usb cables seem fine. I suspect it's the apple MFI crap that's the issue.

        • @ChoiceScarf: oops fair enough, but the beauty of ebay, rather then say these chinese suppliers is that it's easy to get your money back. My lightning cables, I was told they'd happily replace if I posted them back. which of course isn't worth the while or cost.

  • Are these genuine MFI certified (so will work with the Apple Smart Battery Case) ?

    • +5

Yes they're genuine. Select Brand and search for Tronsmart here

  • only works for some colours? Didn't work for the red 1.2m
Also only works for 1 item per order?

    • I'll ask Geek to have the red discounted on the 1.2m. Correct 1 per order.

      • Can you also please ask for the 3m white to be added? Currently TVNLIUDX only works for red.

      • Discount on Grey + Black please !!

        • Yeah… +1 for grey black discount please!

        • +1 grey + black please

  • Code not working.

    • +2

There's a typo in the first code in the code box…should have a G at the end (as in description). Codes also currently only work for grey 1.2m and red 3m, well, for me anyway. Hope that helps.

There's no free shipping with express available

    • Sorry my wording was off. Free shipping is included by default, but there are express options available for extra cost.

      • thanks, I bought one just to test it out.

  • I love braided cables, far much better than Apple brand cable.

Is it just me or these are not actually that cheap at ~$10 ;-/

    • +1

Find a cheaper one and post the deal and we can all find out

    • +1

      Is it just me….

Yep, just you. Braided lighting cables aren't cheap.

  • Im getting 404 :)

    • They're all still working. Which one are you having trouble with?

  • the 10ft grey white, code not working

  • Thank you! Also found a 1.8m Lightning for $7.89 - deal is on for the next ~3 days
    http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Apple-MFi-Certified-Tronsmart…

    • $7.89

      That is USD

      • Your point? So are all the other prices in the title. Still a good price for the cable.

  • Sorry, this coupon code is applicable for some specific items.
getting this message with 1.2m red/black with XMNFHYPG

  • come on rep, if you want the sales make sure the codes work on all the cables.

    • +1

Still waiting on a reply from GeekBuying. Once I know I'll update.

  • codes not working.GG

  • How is this deal still live, I mean it was posted over 16 hours ago and the code doesn't work.

    • it does work, for certain colors/lengths.

  • Thanks OP. Just bought a 1.2m one, quite hard to find a apple certified lighting cable for less than $10 and braided cable just makes the deal even better

  • Unfortunately Geek are unable to extend the coupon to work with the other colours at this time. I'll definitely add it to the list for a future deal.

    • Can not? Or will not?

I personally wanted the 1.2m red cable however the RRP without discount is nearly double that of the equivalent blitzwolf model. The blitwolf models were released earlier and they look similar too, which brings me to suspect that they share the same OEM.

      • Can not as they're low stock. BlitzWolf and Tronsmart are using a different factory for their Lightning Cables. Sure they look similar, but so do a lot of other cables including the ones from Anker.

  • I bought one of each. Thanks

  • Anyone getting redirected to Chinese paypal site? I can't for the life of me, find an option to change the language to English!

    • Never mind. Logged into paypal earlier from the browser and then it automatically logged me in.

      Thanks OP for the deal.

  • Coupon expired. Deal over?

    • 1.2m expired, but the 3m is active.

      • Both codes are now expired by the looks of it. I just tried TVNLIUDX and it says "Sorry, the coupon code has expired. Please apply a new one."

        • Sorry it can't be extended at this time.

        • @Clear: Thanks Clear, I wasn't asking for it to be extended I was just quoting the message from the website.

        • *Duplicate

  • Any other recommendations on a decent cord? The ones I buy always break within a few weeks :(

IF they say MFI certified- are they legit? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Braided-MFI-Certified-Apple-Light…

  • Any plans on a new deal on these?
