A very good price for a very nice 2 in 1 laptop at JB. I just bought one. Try asking for the best price at the store and they may go a bit lower for you.

also at jb 910 and 512 for 600 more if you think its worth the extra 600.

  • Nice laptop, decent price.

Recently I was looking for a 338mm (13.3") 2-in-1 and looked at this Lenovo but ended up getting the Asus that was on special at the Microsoft Store:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ASUS-ZenBook-Flip-UX360UAK-C4232T…

Cheaper but only 8GB RAM compared to the Lenovo's 16GB.

The EOFY/Ebay sale price is no longer current but can still get C5oz I think, so $1424.

Another one I looked at was the HP Spectre.

With i5-7200U/8GB/256GB/FHD/IPS/etc, currently on special $1118 at HN: http://www.harveynorman.com.au/computers-tablets/computers/h…

    • Thats not a Spectre it's a Pavilion which is bigger and heavier, not in the same class.

      • Thank you. Probably reminds me why I didn't buy it.

    • 338mm (13.3")

      What is it in furlongs?

  • It's also a quad core laptop.

    • No it's not?

    • +2

The Intel CPUs with model names ending with U are dual core and the ones ending with HQ are quad core.

      • My mistake. I was just reading from the details tab on the JB Hi-Fi website and it says it's quad core laptop.

    • +1

So you can return it if you don't like it… erm… I mean because it's "not as described" under aus consumer law? (Clearly says on jb site quad core, when it is not)

  • How does this compare the Lenovo X1 Yoga? Paid way more for that but the specs seem similar. This makes me sad..

    • Lenovo X1 is more expensive because it is one of the lightest 14-inch laptops in the world.

      • Their website says Yoga 270 starts at 1.25kg while X1 yoga starts at 1.36kg.
I can see X1 yoga's battery life is slightly better (11hours vs 10.5hours) and a few more ports

  • I haven't bought a laptop in years but I don't know, that looks like a lot of money for a Windows laptop.

Touchscreen and SSD would be what raises the price more. The 16GB RAM too probably.

Aussie dollar is not what it once was.

    • On board graphics on top of being expensive… what do most people do with all that CPU power with no graphic power?

btw this the space grey colour not the platinum silver which imo looks awesome! anyone figured out how to get the pen activated.. there are 1xAAAA battery two tiny small batteries.. the manual doesn't help with that small prints and i can't find anything on lenovo active pen 2

    • +2

oh Man! I had the same problem and took almost the whole night trying to figure it out. You first need to unscrew the pen where you will need to place the AAAA battery. After unscrewing the pen, you will find that it can be further unscrewed by twisting the spring part. You can then place the small batteries in there.

Be careful about the polarity of the batteries. The spring part should always touch the negative side of the batteries/cells.

If all of that goes well you should be able to pair the pen using Bluetooth.

      edit: spelling

      • yeah i tried it yesterday but used 10 cent to unscrew the spring part to put the tiny 2 x batteries. sorted now! mine has samsung nvme ssd read 3114 mB/s write 1375 mB/s!!!! but i did have some issues at first when it randomly goes on sleep on battery mode but i changed the power settings ..now it seems okay.

  • Must be expired. It's $1999 now.

  • Damn, missed it, would've picked this up

    • Pssst, the special just came back.

(I missed out on one too - not this time tho)

      • Top man cheers for that, looks like I'm heading to JB . .
