Wasn't able to save it on the app either. But able to save the other offers.

  • +1

they also offered me spend $200 get $50 back with Hertz, not sure if targeted

    • Yeah I got that too but didn't have space in my post title to mention it. Feel free to post it as a deal :)

      • +1

Thanks i saw this as I was going to collect a car from Hertz. I'll reinvest that $50 into the ebay booze sale - thanks!

    • Edited the post so that it mentions Hertz as well

  • Is the Taranga Zoo offer targeted? Someone care to share direct link please. Thanks

  • It appears in my amex offers but error message unable to save ?

  • Has the offer been exhausted already. Only 15000 cards is not many.

    • I highly doubt it since no one as far as I'm aware can save the offer unlike the Hertz one

  • +1

Update: Unable to save the offer on my Explorer, Platinum Edge or Platinum Card

  • Unable to save either!

  • I cant even see the offer on amex page - https://www.americanexpress.com/au/network/shopping.html

  • +2

Iv rarely seen them release new offers over the weekend. It could possibly be an IT glitch and wud assume it wud b back up tomorrow.

  • I can see the Taronga Zoo offer, but as others it says unable to save the offer at this time. :/

  • +1

in one or more transactions, online at taronga.org.au

As of yesterday when I bought my passes, the taronga.org.au site does not accept Amex. Preparing to be annoyed in 3, 2, 1…

    • Interesting! Maybe that's why no one can save the offer because they're working on enabling it for AMEX?

  • +1

people are gonna go bananas about this!

  • shame you need to return and pay for car before august 31st as i need to hire one in dec.

  • Hertz offer is Complimentary Hertz Gold Plus Rewards Status while AVIS is $50 statement credit for $200 spend?

    • Both AVIS and Hertz have the same offer i.e. Spend $200, receive $50 credit

      • +1

Thanks but all I am seeing from this link https://www.americanexpress.com/au/network/shopping.html are these offers
        https://www.americanexpress.com/au/network/shopping/doe-offe…
        https://www.americanexpress.com/au/network/shopping/complime…
perhaps I need to clear history in my browser or something.

        • I couldn't find a link to associate the deal with so just used that link; sorry. Try using the AMEX app or log into your AMEX account and hopefully it'll appear in the offers tab. If they don't, it is possible it could be a targeted deal (I have a DJs AMEX so if you don't see it in your account, do let us know what card it was so that others know as well) :)

        • +1

@kerfuffle: Ah gotcha, I have a National Australia Bank issues Amex card and I don't login to an Amex account or have/use an Amex app, thanks.

        • +1

@samlor: The Hertz offer looks like it's available to bank-issued AMEX going by their terms and conditions, but it can be possible that the Taronga offer is only for AMEX-issued cards. Thanks for giving more info! :)

        • +1

Excuse my ignorance… but how do you access these offers with a bank-issued AMEX (I have an ANZ card) without a manual link?

FYI, I also have a AMEX-issued card and can see the offers under "Offers & Places" in the AMEX web portal.

        • Anyone had success and can offer advice on accessing these offers with a bank-issued AMEX (without a manual link)? Is it possible?

  • 40+ votes and not a single confirmation if anyone can save this offer !! If no one can save, offer is pretty much not available.

  • +1

Anyone with the know-how able to generate and post a manual link for the Hertz offer?

  • Showed up on my mobile app. Have saved it with no problems. (Hertz one)

  • +1

Taronga deal is back and now able to be saved

    • Where can you see it? Not on offers page or my app

  • Can't see Taronga deal in my Amex app.
Anyone else? Or using direct links for it?

    • Saw it in my app just now

      • Damn not in mine or wife's. We have the free Qantas Amex card.
Will try to find manual link.

  • +1

Taronga deal confirmed - added to both Explorer and Platinum Edge

  • Still nothing on both mine and wife's Amex.
Is there a direct link anyone can find? Hellllppp

    • Im also having trouble finding the Taronga zoo deal…

    • FYI, it must be targeted offers… as I see them with my free Qantas Amex card (when logged onto the AMEX website).

Although it seems like changes have been made to AMEX Connect, as you don't need to logon anymore.

Anyone had any luck creating or finding a manual link?

      • OK FYI… answered my own question re: apparent changes to the AMEX Connect website logon requirements.

        What's New?

From June 2017, you no longer need to login to American Express Connect using a username and password. Simply select the offer you’re interested in and complete the Amex Offer enrolment form to save the offer to your Card.

Access to other discount offers remain the same – you just need to visit the dedicated business' website page to redeem.

You are still able to redeem any Amex Offers that have already been saved to your Card.

For more information, please check out our FAQ's here.

        • Weird. Can't see on my app with Qantas Amex cards. was thinking maybe I'd bought a zoo membership on Amex before then realised they didn't accept it.

Will try website instead of app!

  • Offer saved for me. Thanks! Was planning to take the family to Taronga this weekend so nicely timed!

  • Still nothing for me. Not in app or in original link in post as a direct link.
Not on website if I log in.
    Must be targeted.
Would be much appreciated if anyone knew a way to direct link

    • What card do you have if you don't mind me asking?

      • +1

It's the Qantas Amex. No annual fee super budget one that we've had about 10 years :)
Usually get offers but no luck this time

        • I can mark it as Targeted if you want but probably need more information on other cards that aren't showing the Taronga offer (I have a DJs AMEX)

        • +1

          @kerfuffle:
Yeh odd. I have the hertz one as does my wife on same card.

Only reason for exclusion I can think of is if we used Amex in the past for an annual pass, but I don't think we did (as pretty sure they didn't take Amex)

        • @Hoju: Or maybe they think Qantas AMEX cardholders don't want to go to Taronga Zoo hahaha

        • @kerfuffle:

How do you "mark it as Targeted"… I'd like to be able to activate the Hertz offer on my ANZ bank issued AMEX, if possible (which is has been in the past with a direct link).

        • @InfinityandBeyond: Report my own post as Targeted but I think only the Taronga one is Targeted; the Hertz one should be available to all, especially you since they mention ANZ cards in the Terms and Conditions

    • Yup, I second that request… anyone able to post a direct link so others can take advantage of the offers (specifically the Hertz one in my case)?

        • Thanks for posting… but that's actually a link to a different offer (i.e. Complimentary Hertz Gold Plus Rewards Status).

The Hertz deal with this post is actually "Spend $200 or more, in one or more transactions, online or in-store at participating Hertz locations for vehicles returned and paid for by 31/08/2017 to receive one $50 credit".

What we need is for someone to be able to work their magic and generate a manual link (really wish I knew how it's done, so I could post myself)! :-)

  • Doesn't look like the Zoo deal is available on the offers page anymore?

    • I don't think it ever was
