  • Also a quick note, this is an ordinary optical mouse.

If you're looking for a laser notebook mouse, the cheapest would be the Logitech V550 ($25) from MSY Slacks creek. Pickup only.

wait so if this mouse is more expensive than a laser mouse where's the bargain?

      • it's on clearance at Slacks Creek MSY (QLD) only. The next cheapest for the V550 according to staticice is $35 + $3.60 postage interstate (from WA)

          Ah ok.

          • @Trance N Dance: In some ways this is better than the V550, it actually has a middle click while the V550 does not.

The middle mouse button when pressed down on the v550 toggles between the clicky and frictionless scrolling modes.

"DX sells cheap imitation stuff, yes, but when they say a product is genuine they usually mean it."

They "usually" mean it? You're really filling us with confidence here! :)

    • lol my bad, grammar mistake :)

    • Some of it isn't genuine.. But I haven't heard of fake Logitech Stuff yet, only imitations with random brandnames slapped on =]

I have two Logitech MX Laser Mice…
one was bought RRP from an officeworks, the other from a site like dealextreme or ebay…
Both work fine IMO, but the cheaper one is easily identifiable ("cheaper feeling" plastic, more lighter, stickers/labels peel off)… but yeah, this is my experience with a few things…like a Sigma 506 Bike computer from DX. not the same.

  • There's a red one and 10 cents cheaper

  • I think this one is a better deal

    http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1858

    • Reviews say it's not very ergonomic….

  • Does the battery last long?

    • Youtube reviews say it lasts around 3 months per battery.
Which is typical of most optical mice.

I vote negative because on many occasions it turn out to be none genuine.

I had a fake Nokia charger, complained and they refunded me.
But they still sell it as genuine, with my warning in the comments.
      Buyer beware.

Why have the comments been wiped from this Logitech mouse?

Wow Sight & Sound has these in regularly for $29 AUD

    • But $29AUD != $22USD. With the exchange rate the way it is currently, $22USD is still cheaper. OP had also mentioned that cheapest on Static Ice is $29.

      • $22USD + 1+ month shipping time, for a COUNTERFEIT PRODUCT with NO WARRANTY is NOT a better deal.

        • Looks like you got one of those dud keyboards where the caps-lock comes on randomly.
I can see why you are in the market for a new one :-)

Seriously, what is the margin in these? I just bought a Logitech MK250 wireless KB & mouse set for $22 at the recent Harvey Norman sale. Now $44 for the pair.

        • Warranty is provided by Logitech…
