Founders reserve is horrid. Its a non-age statement whisky that tastes like ass.

Glenlivet 12 used to be my go-to many years ago. And I just bought a $300 bottle of fancy glenlivet. So if I say Founders is crap, trust me..

My ~10 whisky drinking mates concur

  It's not terrible but for the same price as what 12yo it's replaced it's a let down forsure. Do yourself a favor and go the glengoyne 10 yo instead. $59 a bottle with this deal

    starter - usually recommend jura superstition but probably not $100 on its own

A Glengrant 10yo can be had on sale for ~$50, or my new daily drop is the abelour 12yo, try to get it on special, I think it can be had close to $50 as well. If you're not much of a scotch drinker you may find the one in this post to be Ok, but as mentioned earlier it is replacing the glenlivet 12 which was hands down the best drop for its price. This new one is garbage in comparison.
