  • I have a 2012 Miele Vacuum cleaner and it is so good.

    • We have a 2007 Miele that's still running great, electronically anyway.

Just every other bit of plastic has (finally) broken or worn out - but due to [hard] wear and tear, not because of bad design! I'm thinking it's time to replace the duct taped model we have for a newer one :D

  • A dog can fit in that???

    • +3

      A cat and a dog

  • What's the difference between this and the Family All Rounder? Is it just in the missing 'turbo' brush or something else?

    • It's got the turbo floor head, mini turbo brush, charcoal filter and a different handle. I think that's all.

    • +2

If you have carpet, the turbo head is much better. Normally costs about $100+ on its own.

      • Oh how is it better?

        • +1

It's stronger. The spinning brush loosens particles from the carpet and kicks it up into the air where it is sucked in easier.

        • @lostn:
Oh Thanks!!! It sound good! Have you used the hard floor head too, I wonder if it is good on tile?

        • @christythebest: I didn't need one. It comes with the standard head which can do hard floors or carpet, plus the turbo head (for carpet only). I use the standard head for tiles and it's doing a good job.

      • It would be better if it was an electric powered head for thicker carpets.

        • I think there is an electric powered head, but that is for one of the top range vacs and it's expensive. Like double the price of this one.

Great machine, however the spinning brush on my one stopped spinning the other day.

    • Is it tangled?

If not, is your bag full or filling up?

When the bag is full, the suction drops, and the brush won't spin as easily.

The brush has no electronics in it. If it stops spinning, something might be blocking it. It's designed to be opened up to maintain. Or it doesn't have enough suction to spin anymore (due to bag being full). Airflow is restricted when the bag is almost full.

Try changing the bag. Check to see if it's filling first. The indicator is unreliable.

      • Good tip. I was planning on taking it apart to have a look. The bag is only half full, but will test with a new bag anyway.

        • Ah. You might want to try taking it apart first.

It's easy but the manual will tell you how. There could be a blockage.

It shouldn't stop spinning if the bag is only half full. Though it will tangle easier and maybe not spin as fast.

        • @lostn:
I had to take it apart and it turns out it had hair tangled around the ends. It's a bit fiddly to take apart and put together but got it in the end.

        • @Axlton:

          That's good.

These turbo heads are not good for hair and string. If you see it on your carpet, I'd advise removing the head and sucking it in through the tube before replacing it.

  • We have the older version that we got second hand this year for $200. It is a great machine, I still actually enjoy using it!

  • Out of stock.

The C3 Family All Rounder is also on sale for $303.20c - possibly the cheapest its been

  • Anyone have suggestions on where to get cheap replacement bags?

    • +1

ebay has 4 boxes (16 bags total) for usually $75.

If you catch them on a 15% off sitewide deal, even cheaper.

      • How long do the bags last you?

        • +1

Depends how much stuff you're vaccuuming up. I have 2 cats and live in a 2 storey 3 bedroom house. Vaccuuming once a week. Change the bags every 4-8 weeks.

        • +1

For me, I have a carpeted living room and bedrooms (no pets or kids), and tiled kitchen, they last about 6 months. More if I try to squeeze them full. I can get a year if I don't change it till the bag is completely full, but I don't recommend that. The suction will be reduced if you leave it too full.

I bought mine xmas 2015, and I'm on my 3rd bag, which is about half full.

    • +1

Don't buy the no name brand ones. The oem ones are great and have a little flap inside the bag that contains the dust better and they reduce odours a lot better than after market ones.

  • Sounds good.
Might get the All Rounder since this one is already sold out.

Nice price. Was checking out Meile & Electrolux cleaners on the weekend. Meile have a (new?) Blizzard CX1 bagless model but not easy to find in Aus

  • This is a great machine but the suction on mine is so strong the standard head sticks to the carpet. What's the best head for low pile carpet?

    • +3

Have you tried turning down the suction power?

  • -1

Still using bags and still on wire… so 1970s.

    • At the end of the day it's not the tool you use but the job that gets done. This bagged, corded vacuum will absolutely clean up compared with any cord-free, bagless machine at a similar price point.

      • At no price point would a cordless vac compete in getting the job done.

Bags are more convenient than bagless. For me it's about an extra $5 running cost every 6 months. Well worth not needing to empty it every time I use it.

  • All-rounder is out of stock too as of last night. Kicking myself for missing this especially when I am looking to buy one.

    • Fml I'm using a pos vax that is scratching my floor boards lol

  • Got an email from Paypal stating that this purchase was refunded. Anyone else?

    • +1

Your cat purrs a sigh of relief.

  • Got an email to say it was cancelled too.
