Citizen Mens Stainless Steel Eco-Drive Satellite Wave Watch - CC3005-51E $569.71 @ Citizen Outlet eBay RRP $2000

440
C5OZ

A few of you requested a deal on a satellite wave watch from the previous deal I posted from this seller.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/318448

I can vouch for this store as the watch I recently ordered was brand new and had the warranty papers. I even got the invoice from Citizen.

Cheaper if you have the targeted 10% off code bringing it down to $540.

Update - Thanks to ramchandra3333 you can make an offer of $540, once it's accepted, it brings the price down to $513 using the C50Z code.

  • Nice price, the street price is around $800.

    • +1

For some reason I thought of this

  • That's a great price, cheapest I've seen is like $710.

  • -3

    Is Citizen the next Invicta?

  • +3

I didn't like the last two so much but this one is really nice. I might just go for it this time.

  • sorry, a bit confused: can someone confirm, does this watch update the actual time or just the time-zone by GPS?

from what I read, it sounds like it just updates the time-zone (so you have to have the watch set to the correct time in the first place), whereas Seiko Astron will set the actual time.

    • the old F100 missing auto-timezone, where you need to set timezone for it to auto-adjust actual time.

this F150 adds auto-timezone, so everything is auto.

      • Cheers! Yeah, I think I was getting confused with different versions of the technology…cheers!

  • need 15% sitewide

  • +3

What if I happen to live near the Time/Dateline on Taveuni Island, Fiji.

Will the GPS system automatically update the time/date every time I drive to the shops or the airport ?

    Thanks in advance.

    GC

    • +4

According to this you need to press a button for a few seconds for it to update so shouldn't be a problem for timezone straddlers

      • good to know - thanks for that.

  • Similar watch updates on radio waves a bit cheaper
    http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Citizen-Mens-Titanium-Eco-Drive…

    • +1

      radio control is useless here.

    • The watch face on this one is very busy

  • +1

Auto GPS timezone is a pretty nifty feature for a regular old analogue wristwatch.

  • +1

I own one of the upgraded models of this, the CC9025-51E and vouch for its coolness. Also got it from StarBuy too which was a bonus.
I press the top button for 3 seconds, see the hands rotate in a whiz bang fashion, it gets a GPS signal, then resumes its correct position and ticks away.
The technology is quite amazing. Add on to the fact that you don't need to worry about battery changes, means a watch like this is a must in man's repertoire of wearables :)

    • +2

And also shoutout to the StarBuy rep on here, I'll never be able to buy a Citizen from anywhere else! Prices, delivery and service amazing.

    • How much did you get it for?

      • $1,140.00 :)

  • Did anyone get their offer accepted for < 520? I am thinking of making an offer for 520

    • Can you try and let us know?

    • they countered me with a $550 offer

    • It was auto-declined when I tried to offer them $520 LOL

      • +1

540 got accepted.. better than 600 .. ye

        • Damnit lol.

    • I attempted $520 and got rejected.

Got an offer of $550 accepted though. So not sure but you could probably try <$550?

  • THANK OP - also got $25 off from ebay xmas in july spend $150 more get $25 off :)

    • IVE CANCELLED MY ORDER THEY MANAGED TO MATCH $550 LOST EBAY 25 OFF :( STILL SAVING $25 :)

  • +1

Just realised Starbuy lowered their price on their website. This is still cheaper though with the ebay discount.
Really tossing between this or https://www.starbuy.com.au/citizen-titanium-mens-satellite-w…

I like the look of the CC1075-05E much more, plus it is titanium. Is it worth it for 849?

  • +1

is there a titanium version with the satellite wave on sale too?

    • +1

Its on sale at starbuy for 849. Tossing between that and this one. Different style though.

      • I like this design as well. Wish a starbuy rep can give an additional discount on this.

    • Nah this one is way too big if you like big watches. The one from ebay has a smaller face.

Strange that this watch is not solar charged given its closest competitor of similar range from Casio and Seiko is both satellite and solar.

    • +4

says its "eco drive' so should be solar

      • Ah ok my bad, I misread one of the online reviews which states that it has a 2 year battery but in fact it was trying to say when the battery is fully charged, it last 2 years.

  • +3

I sent a message to the seller advising why they gave me the final rock bottom price of $600 and other offers of $540-$550 has been accepted.

I am sorry if I have misled anyone to make a buy it now purchase rather than give an opportunity to make a lower offer.

I only posted this deal up due to a few members messaging me to get a deal on a solar watch.

I have no affiliation with this seller and just contacted them to secure a cheap price out of good will in my spare time.

    • Not sure why I got negged but this is the response I got:

      "Apologies for that.

We have had some system issues where the pricing was approved at a cheaper price for some people. Unfortunately we had to honour this price and let it go"

      • I assume they had an automatic accept on offers that were up to 10% off, and they accidentally left that on after reducing the price to $600. Hence why it was automatically accepting offers of $540.

By going back to them and asking why they were accepting offers of $540, you've alerted them to their error, and they've pulled the listing. They obviously didn't mean to be selling it for $540.

I'd assume that's the reason for the neg - ie. Should have just left it alone!

(just to be clear, it wasn't me who negged you - just explaining why I think you got negged)

I was just about to buy one when it got pulled! oh well… :(

    • +2

Can I just say thanks for your effort taken. Its people like you who really make the obzargain community a better place.

  • Thanks, 540 accepted. comes down to 513 with coupon

  • +3

I would rather spend the $ on a Seiko SARB or Presage like this one instead…

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261814866614

    • Cant even compare the two. Just the features of teh Citizen alone is better than the Seiko??
Not a hardcore watch person but own a few… so may be I am missing something scratches head

      • +1

That's like saying a smart watch beats all other normal watches because of the tech & features.

This one is like a normal watch but you are paying more for some techy stuff that doesn't really do it for traditional watch enthusiasts. People that like automatic watches couldn't really care less if their watch is slightly inacurate.

Not trying to be a watch snob, just answering your question. I post very cheap watch deals occasionally.

        • Honestly I think it is a matter of personal taste. So although I see your point, i for one prefer a watch with a bigger dial diameter, that if i dont wear it for a day or two because of owning a few it doesnt stop.

So may be the appeal to some might be there for the Seiko, personally it doesnt fit the needs I have when going for a watch. Hence to me without a doubt the seiko is not a good choice for the $500

        • @parallelparadox: Of course it's personal taste. That's why there are so many different types of watches.

    • Display caseback.
      Wonderbar!

  • Thanks got one :) $540 accepted - coupon code = $513 - cashback 1.30% = $506

The watches on citizen aus eBay site look dated. Have a look at watches on Amazon and then decide if these citizen watches on ebay are worth buying or not.

    Eg. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005BS2ENC/ref=sl_mbs_sr_2587…

  • Says ended for me when just clicking on the link.

    Oh well.

  • Listing ended by the seller. Damn I missed out. only 33 sold this time before they ended it.

  • +1

    https://www.starbuy.com.au/citizen-stainless-steel-black-gps…

Starbuy has them for $589, not as cheap as this deal, but compare to normal price, still not bad.

  • I got a Seiko Astron a month ago. Like this Citizen, it has timezones around the edge. I love the fact that once an hour the minute hand points to BJS… My wife has a sore neck now.

  • +1

Lucky they didn't accept my $200 offer on that radio wave watch.

Thank OP for his continuous bargain hunting effort.

Bought first one at $569 then second one at $513, cancelled the first order.

Good price although it is a discontinued model.

  • Dang I missed out….

  • +7

For those that missed out, this is still available at 27% off.

    • Beautiful watch. I prefer it over the Citizen.

  • I want a titanium, Sapphire and GPS controlled watch. Do you think you can get a good deal?
    Thanks.

    • This was the F150 model released in 2015.. it replaced the F100 model released in 2014 which did have the Titanium case and band. The Citizen outlet ebay store doesnt have the GPS controlled with a titanium case/band.

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Citizen-Mens-Limited-Edition-Sate…

Perhaps you can contact Starbuy Ebay and make reference to the recent Citizen deals and that how popular they were… you can ask for a group buy discount to lower the price on a watch you are after and post it up on here

      • Thanks for reply. I will go overseas so not really have time. So will wait until a deal appears. Then have to convince my partner…

  • For those that missed out, this is still available at 70% off.

    More here.
Not sure if anyone has posted this, but feel free…i have no idea…

  • Very fast shipment! got it this morning.
