For those of you that missed out on the previous deal
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/318268

Citizen has reduced the price on this watch for me to share.
The only key difference is this isn't chronograph.. some people may prefer this as it is has a less busy dial.

You can get it cheaper if you have a targeted ebay offer of 10% off making it $324.

    Wasn't this posted yesterday?

cheaper if you make an offer for $250 and it is accepted then use the code C5OZ and get it for $237.50.

      this is a better deal.

      • What offer should I make?

        • +4

$4 and a pack of lifesavers

        • @kurtles: how about a kayak and a VS commodore
          \

    • +3

      This has different letters.

      CB0140-58E v BY0120-54E

      xx01x0-5xE
I only get 5/9 characters matching.

Note that "Radio-controlled watches automatically detect the correct time in Japan, China, North America and Europe by receiving radio waves from a cesium atomic clock, which is accurate to within one second per 100,000 years." (source: https://www.citizenwatches.com.au/rct-system)

There are ways to get it to work here in OZ where your chance of getting a signal from Japan is possible but slim - some info here: http://www.twentytwoten.com/666/will-atomic-time-watch-sync-…

how this is similar? other one was Promaster, this one is cheaper and more simple, and I need Promaster

  • You can use this code YOUR10 save 10%

    • Code targeted to individual
      otherwise one gets
"Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again."

  • I got one. Thanks OP. Amazingly low price. It is sold at 95000 Japanese Yen (AUD1088) on Amazon Japan.

    • That's 2 watches in two days for you haha

      • +6

Yes because I'm a visitor and have the TRS tax refund benefit.

Being Stainless Steel instead of Titanium is also a rather key differential with the deal from last night.

    • Case Material: Titanium

It's pretty much the same watch except for no world times (it's a gimmick if not a frequent traveller) and no chronograph.

  • Never understood the expensive watch craze. Whatever floats your boat.

And yes I realise $1200 is 'cheap' in watchland.

    • +1

Just like people with cars, speakers, golf clubs etc. You'll notice a big difference when comparing a cheapy to a $1,000 watch. But, yes, what ever floats your boat. Many people buy, keep for a while and resell at a small loss or a for a profit. It's about buying low and knowing the resale market. This watch, for example, is good value, but not so easy to move.

    • As someone who has spent a bit on a watch, here is my reasoning. I appreciate the mechanical mechanism that powers and runs my watch. It is a piece that very few others wear, but doesn't scream look at me. I appreciate it and know it is very well made. One day, i'll give it to my eldest son, my family doesn't really have any heirlooms and i wanted something to pass on. I'm on-and-off shopping for another one for my youngest son.

  • Good deal but reallyyyy wish the previous deal was still up. :(

    • +1

Have a look on their eBay store and if there is anything you like, I can ask for a better deal. They owe me a favour or 2 after posting up a few watch deals for them

      • Thanks :) wouldn't know where to start, just love that chronograph look and finally time to upgrade from my 7 year old guess watch and timex weekender.

      • The satellite one?

        • This one?

          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Citizen-Mens-Stainless-Steel-…

I'll ask if they can do sub $600.

        • @Bargainaholic: tough decision..think i'll stick with the original one as its titanium, thanks..

        • @danishcookie: OH noo.. pulled the trigger didnt realise the band was stainless steel..have sent cancellation request. will wait for satellite

        • @Bargainaholic:
I'll buy on of them if you get a deal.

Do you also get other brands?

I need a few other everyday watches.

Been wearing some expensive ones lately since both Tissots died in me and worried I'm gonna destroy them if i keep.wearng them as daily watches

        • +1

          @Suspect420:
I have no affiliation with them.
I was looking for deals for a watch myself and thought I will share it with others.
With the amount of watches they moved from previously posted deals and not taking up an extra discount amount offered for myself should I make another purchase as appreciation, they seem to return the favour by reducing certain items at request as it works both ways.

I asked them to reduce the satellite watch to $500 so fingers crossed.

        • @Bargainaholic:

          Legend!

          Thx man

        • @Bargainaholic: oh bugger

          I missed out.

          Was on a plane 😢

        • @Bargainaholic: any automatic watches you could try to get cheap?

        • +1

          @Suspect420:
Citizen doesn't have automatic watches, they mainly do quartz movement eco-drive.

You can try and contact Ebay sellers advising that if you were to have X amount interested people, what their best price can be.

        • +1

@Bargainaholic: Of course they make automatic watches, here is a search I did on eBay.

        • @Bargainaholic:
Morning Bargainaholic, will you help to get another best offer of Citizen Mens Stainless Steel Eco-Drive Satellite Wave Watch?
Thanks. I missed out the last offer. :-(

        • @micicq:

They advised me that I will be notified when they re-list the item.

I will find out what the best price will be soon.

        • @Bargainaholic: Great news! Thanks Bargainaholic. I believe that lot of people are waiting for. Cheers.

        • @micicq:

Would you be interested in the same watch but with a blue dial? CC3000-54L

          I'm trying to get it for $540-5% = $513

      • +1

I would like a GPS controlled, titanium, sapphire, eco-drive watch, citizen, e.g
Citizen Eco-Drive Mens Promaster Satellite Wave Titanium Watch CC1075-05E. Starbuy ebay sells for 999

Could you get a cheaper prize? Other model is ok if similar features

  • Can I listen to 2GB on this, or is it FM only?

    • +2

      No, it's Radio-"controlled."

Alan Jones will be making sure you're listening to him.

      • +1

Thank you odysseus - my bad. Personally I find Ray Hadley more entertaining.

  • Hey OP! Can this please be stocked up again? I really wanted one!! :(

  • Got one delivered today.
