      I have managed to checkout successfully with todays PS3 deal
      Made payment through paypal
      GUESS WHAT - the confirmation page was hung and didn't respond
      Payment hasn't been deducted from my paypal

      And as usual - the item is sold in 3 mins
      Have lodged official complaint to COTD and Paypal

      COTD should stand for "Culprit O*** Thug Dodgy"

      I managed to score the COTD PS3. As far as I can tell, it's pretty much a luck thing. For some reason, on my refresh of the page, it came up relatively quickly, compared to the other deals on the day. The web server was just kind to me at the time.

    Why is PS3 still so expensive? Pick up an xbox360 for 1/2 that price. They're about the same in terms of graphics and games (to my eyes).

        ps3 has the potential for better graphics and content as the blu-ray disc itself with the bigger storage space will allow more to be stored, currently it's the developers that havent made games that use the full potential of the ps3 and blu-ray discs.

      You mean the Xbox 360 Arcade version? That's the only model which is 1/2 the price of a PS3. It also does not come with any hard drive. Microsoft charge obscene amounts for their hard drives. That's where they gouge you on the Xbox 360.

      Never mind the fact that all Xbox360 models have no built in wireless networking, and also have a regular DVD drive instead of a high capacity Bluray drive, therefore they cannot play high definition media unless you download it. The PS3 has a much better feature spec in comparison.

      It won't have anything to do with the sale price, but rather their cost price. If it cost them the same amount for F1 2010 than the older RDR, than maybe you hava chance. But I doubt it.

      mate tried to get that deal from multiple other dick smiths wouldn't match.
      Think that shop got mixed up - as 2 packs at the time wer ps3 + playtv + remote + hdmi or ps3 + move + racket sports somehow the shop combined them (think it was just a mistake by inexperienced staff)

      Thanks for the receipt. Can confirm it can be done - had it matched at JB HiFi and am now like a kid with candy setting up my new toys. PS3 320GB + PlayTV + Move starter pack + HDMI cable + 'charging accessory' (aka another cable) for $599. Did not push for remote as well but I can live with that.
