180

Hey all,

While trawling for more travel deals I came across these great prices to Milan or Rome (Italy) in October and November this year.

1. Sydney to Rome $931
2. Sydney to Milan $974
3. Melbourne to Rome $976
4. Melbourne to Milan $955

Play around with the dates once again, but there seemed to be flights on offer for much of October and November from SYD and MEL.

Stopovers in Beijing, China for ~8hrs which will give enough time to explore the sights of the city with a ~40min travel time from the Airport to the CBD

Weather in Italy at this time of year is around 12-17 degrees.

Thx for sharing. No School hols 😭

    • Cheers.
Yeah, seems that way. It's very hard finding school holiday bargain travel deals. I'll keep an eye out!

      • Thanks man ❤️

  • Explore the sites of Beijing in 8 hours?

40 mins to dongzhimen each way where the airport express arrives.

Add another 0.5 (forbidden city) - 1hr (summer palace) each way, to get from dongzhimen.

Add the massive immigration queues at Beijing (and all Chinese) airports, that will take at least an hour.

In 8 hours you would be pushing to see a single site, let alone see Beijing.

You could probably get to the The Great Immigration Line of China

    • Prob just enough to see tiananmen with proper planning

      • Probably the least interesting site and least interesting square in all of China. The security hassles keeps locals from actually utilising it (ie. The group exercise, or kids to cars or whatever usually found in Chinese city squares and parks).

        • As a tourist, i was very excited when i first saw the square. Quick selfie followed by lunch, then head back to the airport

  • No love for Bris :(
