ASUS 1080Ti STRIX OC $1188 / STRIX [Non-OC] $1159.20 @ Shopping Express on eBay

COLLECTINGPLAYING

I literally just bought one 1080Ti STRIX OC for $1180, well it's $1168 with 1.30% cashrewards on eBay. These are the cheapest prices I could find for 1080Ti STRIX OC/ non-OC BY FAR with Australian warranty.

They are considered to be the best air-cooled version of 1080Ti in the market (other than MSI 1080Ti Lightning series) as far as I know (quietest/best tempearature)

It seems like there are only a few available left so you might want to make up your mind and buy it if you're interested.

Hmmm, I don't see any 1080Ti STRIX price lower than this for now mate. Most of them are around $1300++ AUD (if you want local warranty).

If you want to get it from US or something then yes you can get it with a lower price at the expense of local warranty.

I don't know though, please do tell me if you find anything lower (damn, but I just bought one LOL)

        EVGA FTW3 international warranty <$1k

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/319243

        • Could of sworn we had 1080ti (blower style though) last deal for 900

        • True, you're right you're right.

The only difference is that EVGA SC, SC2, FTW3 are not as good as ASUS STRIX version (as far as I know)

Please do correct me if I'm wrong

        • @Bargain4Days: Yeah it's linked in the deal description too ;)

        • Evga warranty will still cost you $ to send the card back to Taiwan for RMA if required, but at least the buyer is covered.

        • @blue2609: Not exactly sure on those details :P Wish I had that problem deciding which 1080ti was better :( Just a lowly RX470 peasant here.

          @currentfad:

Nah cmon man, RX 470 is a good card, don't say that.

I just posted this deal because I know that 1080Ti STRIX price is crazy right now (if you want local warranty). It's like $1300++ out here.

Also, here according to gamernexus the 1080Ti STRIX has the best air cooling solution at the same noise level against FTW3, Gaming X, Aorus Extreme

Anddddd why did I get downvoted????? T_T

        • @xuqi:
How much more would it cost to send it to Taiwan compared to sending it to Shopping Square?

          @aous:

Last time I looked at sending an EVGA card back (GTX970) for RMA it was going to cost me $55 to sent it to Taiwan, vs the $14 it cost me to send it back to PCCG.

PCCG were great in that they replaced my card the day after receiving it, so the entire RMA process took just over a week including the express post/courier time.

  • Why not the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 for about $970 delivered?

    • It's a lot cheaper true, but as far as I know it's also significantly louder and hotter.

After looking at reviews and articles, I'm pretty sure that the 1080Ti STRIX and 1080Ti MSI Lightning Z/X are the best air-cooled versions of 1080Ti available.

      • It's not louder, it has 2 fans which are larger vs 3.

Seems like STRIX VRM cooling is not that great: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/asus_rog_strix_geforce_…

Every 1080 Ti seems to have one problem or another. The EVGA FTW has the best cooling by far, but they went with a dual slot cooler which is great if you don't have enough space, but is otherwise a pointless limit on the cooler design.

    • WUTTT?? That is the exact opposite of what gamernexus said and some user reviews said on newegg/amazon. Yeahh alright, I don't know anymore LOL

      Welp…, alright…, maybe it's not the best deal I'm sorry :(

just get the FTW3 then guys, it's a lot cheaper right now :)

      Cheers yeah?

      • some user reviews said on newegg/amazon

That's random people on a review system that is gamed.

  • I don't see why graphics cards need to be made this long and big. It says "constructed with a 2.5-slot width" does that mean it blocks THREE slots? jesus.

    • Hence why there are many variants on the market. This is just for people who are willing to pay a premium for the extra cooling and the RGB

      • people who are willing to pay
        on ozbargain?

    • maybe you should start making them and putting the same or more power into a half slot ?

  • Not a great deal. STRIX is much higher in price that other top 1080ti's for no apparent reason. Just be careful to stick with the top end card for each supplier - FTW3, Gaming/Lightening, STRIX as ones like the MSI ARMOUR and GIGYBYTE white card have serious issues. But you should be able to nab one for roughly 1000 somewhere on sale.

I did use ShoppingExpress to pickup a 1080ti GamingX recently for almost 200 less that this. They had local stock - shipping from Alexandria, NSW. It came in 2 days which was great as I hate waiting. Keep an eye out for these - I highly recommend.

  • Does anyone know if i can claim TRS through them?
