Warped Nintendo Switch

I got a switch about a month ago and realised that it was warped along with the dock. By the time I realised that it was warped I had enough Zelda progress that I didn't want to lose it. It didn't seem like a big issue because nobody talked about it after the first Instance the issue popped up so I can assume it's a manufacturing defect.

I recently got a screen protector which I applied to the switch. However the extra mm or so made it a tight fit at the very bottom when putting the switch in the dock. Should I just get a dock replacement or replace the entire thing after I finish Zelda. Do you also lose MK8 progress too and are they more likely to repair or replace the unit?

I feel old. I honestly have no idea what this posting is about. I think Zelda is a game. From the context, MK8 might be a game too.

I could guess that this switch thing is a computer, or maybe a phone, or a tablet or something - the OP says that he has fitted a screen protector.

I am so out of the loop…

I prefer to tie my onion so it hangs on my right side, you?

    • I switched off halfway through, no idea what the zell da post is about….as for a game's progress being life altering!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • He's 14, so I just don't expect to understand him.

Now, if he had asked about Pong…….

Yeah there's only been Zelda games for 31 years…

  • I'd probably replace it after you finish Zelda. Should be covered under warranty.

I don't get why you can't have a piece of hardware replaced without losing game progress? Do you seriously only have the option of saving onto the physical drive?

    • Apparently this is the rather idiotic situation that Nintendo has created: no way to back up game saves :|

I would wait until a new model gets released in a couple of years, hopefully without a fan or heating issues.

    • What? when he could get his replaced for free?

  • I would put it in backwards in the dock. Its USB-C. Warp it the other way and it would be straight……………….

  • Really needs nintendo in the title ;)

Or posting in Gaming would've helped.

If you send it for repairs and nintendo does replace your console, your save data will be stored on a cloud and restored on the new console. However, users can not store on this cloud. Only nintendo can.

Do some research, a few people got this done

  • Change it.

Call Nintendo and they should fix it replace it. Make sure you do not pay anything to do so as a warped console is protected under Australia law
