Offer has now expired…

Seems pretty good to me… took the plunge and grabbed one myself. Can't really go wrong for only $5.99
UPDATE: ALMOST ALL GONE! DONT MISS OUT!!

From 1-daytee website:

To kick off 1-daytee, we’ve decided to make the first round on us - the first tee that is! That’s right, the first 1000 punters to get in will get a FREE mystery tee (plus $5.99 shipping).

To order one of these awesome tee’s, select your gender and size, pay a small amount of freight ($5.99), then we’ll send you a randomly selected design/colour tee for FREE, Nadda, Niltch, Nothing, Zero Bucks – you get the idea! Think of it as a tee lucky dip!

The rules:
Like most things that are too good to be true, there are some rules. There are no returns or exchanges. If you have a vision of a particular tee design or colour in your mind that you want, or are hesitant about getting an unknown tee, this sale may not be for you. Remember, these tees are free (other than the shipping cost), so you are taking a gamble on the design and colour you’ll receive.

Note:
•Limit of one per customer.

Geez…too risky for me :) It's not free either!

    • -1

      not the gambling type?
and the shirt is 'free'…. you just pay the shipping.

      or would you perfer:
      $5.99 T-Shirt with FREE SHIPPING

      • +4

The latter would be more honest :)

  • +6

good deal, but im hesitant… would probably be all the left over stuff no one wanted.

    • +4

yeah i was slightly hesitant too but it is only $5.99… if i dont like it ill re-gift in the lead up to christmas lol

      • +3

if you regift it, you'd probably be the worst friend ever =P

    • +3

      I think the opposite.

This is the first time 1-daytee has operated so they need people to know about them.

Giving away few tees is a good start but if you get a good free tee then you will tell other people.
If you get a bad tee then you will tell people.

1-daytee would much rather people taking about how 1-daytee gave the, a good free tee and not a really bad one.

  • +5

Hell, why not. Even if it's no good I can always sleep in it. It'll be interesting to see how much they'll normally charge…

  • +2

after the mossimo jeans, i'll pass thanks. lol still moping over them

    • you missed out or weren't happy with them?

      • +2

they were pretty fugly, especially the blue ones. They were generously cut, fat man jeans. On par with target/big w jeans.

You get what you pay for, so yeah, can't complain zip

        • +2

          generously cut, fat man jeans

ROFLMFAO, great call dude, funniest thing I've read all day! :D

  • Just got one. hope it doesn't suck.

  • I've never been lucky with these mystery box, or whatever stuff you buy that's unknown. I've got a cupboard full of it that I can run one of these mystery buys myself. Would anyone really want to share that they've got good stuff off these unknown purchases, except the fun of it all?

  • At $6, even if it turns out to be rag worthy, cheap rag :)

    • +4

cheap rag? who here on ozbargain actually buys a rag to use as a rag lol

  • you know you're a bit too square when you're too stressed out to take the punt on a free t-shirt. Ok, it costs $6, but sometimes you've gotta take a (calculated) punt in life (now that i've said said that, i'll probably get a dud).

  • What type of shirts do you think they'll be?

  • +2

hmmmm…. Roughly 3/4 of sock still avaliable
so which of the feet will be missing half of the sock LOL

    • lol nice pick up… missed that completely :P
edited that cause theres only like half left now and i put stock in capitals for you lol

  • Can't wait for my brand new mystery Tee!

  • +1

Title should be $5.99 random T-shirt. Its not free as you cant pickup and I dont think you can combine shipping with anything else for further discount. So you pay $5.99 for the T-shirt.

    • -4

Title should be $5.99 random T-shirt

So then shipping is free, does it cost more money or can people pick the tee up?
How would you them mention that in the title?

A title of "$5.99 random T-shirt" is meaningless when there is shipping which you need to pay for

Its not free as you cant pickup

      Yes it is

The tee is free, the shipping is not.

You are paying the cost of delivery to have a free item delivered to you.

So you pay $5.99 for the T-shirt.

The tee is free if the shipping cost in the future will be $5.99. If tomorrow the shipping costs drops to $4.99 then the tee really cost $1.

It really doesn't matter how it is written, if you cannot work out that you need to pay $5.99 to have a tee delivered to you (As the title very clearly mentions) then dont look at the deal.

      • if the shipping cost in the future? really? thats your argument?

the cost to get this item is $5.99. fixed. full stop. the shirt costs $5.99.

I will sell you a car. it free!!! just $20,000 to bring it to your door.

So you can tell the RTA you paid nothing and not have to pay transfer duty.

  • Good for a pyjama top :)

  • Just bought one.
    $6 eh?

  • Got one as well. $6 on a shirt is worth the bit of fun to see what it is when I open it. 1-Day is my pick of the online stores as well, good stuff, genuine bargains and always ship fast.

  • Can't pay via Paypal…
This is starting to get annoying.

    • +1

They're trustworthy enough to give your CC details to

    • Can’t pay via Paypal…

      Sorry but I am glad.
The less companies the accept paypal the happier I become!

      • More chances of getting your credit card details stolen

        • No.
Giving your credit card to 1-day is no less secure than giving it to paypal.

1-day doesn't even ever see your credit card details, they are only told that your payment was successful.

Your credit card details are processed by another company, much like paypal. The only difference is they dont store your credit card details like paypal does.

      • While I have heard horror stories about paypal, it is convenient..

        • Once you type in your user name, set funding source and go back to the merchant page it is no faster (i think it is slower) than just typing in your credit card number and other details.

@anthony: how much does anthony sound like he's a rep?

            • +3

@sash213: Only in that he's actually right! Too many people have been duped into thinking Paypal is the only secure way to pay online!

Whilst I like the convenience of Paypal myself, I have no dramas with using other secure online merchant pages! Remember, if everybody starts only using Paypal, they have what is commonly referred to as a monopoly, then they get to set the prices & rules you shop by! Competition in all markets is a very, very good thing! ;)

              • @StewBalls:

Only in that he’s actually right! Too many people have been duped into thinking Paypal is the only secure way to pay online!

                Finally, someone who knows! :-)

@anthony: Ahhhh I meant to click + on this but I accidentally hit neg… stupid iPhone. Why can't I change it to +???

                  • +2

@Chux: I don't think you can change comment votes but dont worry I wont get upset!

Now, off to neg as many of your posts as I can find ;-)

            • @sash213: How many people have absolutely no idea what they are actually talking about?

  • +2

cool deal for $6, just check the brands
Dickies, Electric, Fox, cliche, Fila, Hollister, Fourstar

not bad at all. probably crappy designs.. but still

damit! just noticed size medium is sold out….

    • +3

I'd laugh if the t-shirt was just as shown with the brand names and "?"s on them! ;-)

  • They're making money off the postage, it wouldn't cost $6.

    • +9

Alright, they send it using Australia post with tracking and signature on delivery so for you to send a tee with the same method you would pay $7.50 for a small parcel.

Obviously they have a discount on postage however say it costs them $4.50 to sent the tee out to you they are making $1.49.
In that $1.49 they need to use a satchel to pack the tee and print off a delivery label. Then pay someone to get the tee from a shelf, pack it and stick the address label on.
$1.49 to cover their packing costs and staff time is nothing.

    • In addition to the above, the 1-day group tends to only base postage on the price of item being sold, so often they would loose money on postage (example: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/22539).

Personally I quite like this fixed price system, it means you know what you are up for with postage.

  • +1

Got one, $6 seems worth it for the surprise.

  • No more medium :(

  • Just got myself a tee. Hope it's decent to wear on the street

  • -1

    Sometimes strippers dress like that

  • +2

I just hope its not some fluro pink suburbanite bogan ed hardy replacement t-shirt

  • +3

just hope it is not a V neck….

  • without trying to sound technical, where does it say these Ts are brand-new?

    • read the terms and conditions, it says these are a mix of second hand and rejects

  • +2

    Great for cleaning the car.

  • Pretty Shit t-shirt. Wouldn't be seen in public in it. :(

  • LOL what kind did you get? I haven't received mine yet

  • a brown Hollister brand one with the writing embroidered on.

    • got the same, i like the fit but HATE brown…

  • Got some Dickies branded one in the mail today.
    Seems Ok, (kmart/target) looking.
New with tags. $6 couldnt care less.

  • Mine came in the mail today too.
Mine is also terrible, but what can you do.
It's "1 day tee" branded. It's grey with a skull on it
I wouldn't mind so much if it was just a bad t-shirt - but this one is kinda offensive too, wouldnt think they'd do that.
Don't even think I'll wear it around the house to be honest (uncomfortable), turns out you can go wrong for $6 :P

  • Mine is a turquoise Holister shirt with orange embroidery.

    • i got the same, ordered an XL, but was more like a Medium :(

  • Got a ridiculous black T-shirt that has a picture of nordic helmet and says Dark Star on it.
    WHAT?! Anyone got the same?

  • LOL!
I don't trust Mystery and never buy them.

  • I'm happy with my shirt; it is red with a kind of ying yang symbol on it.

  • I got a hollister with the words "Hollister 22"

  • I got one with 5 lines of text in red. It smells dodgy but it has tags on it.
    It says
    EMM
    OHH
    OHH
    KAY
    ESS

  • I got some elwood one that is yellowish goldish color with 3 cartoon things in a car this goes in the pyjama draw :) lol

  • Got one of these, the zigzag bits are very faint though http://www.a51.ca/skateshop/published/publicdata/A51CAA51WEB…

  • got a skull print one. branded 1-day i was under the impression it was going to be a more established brand from clicking on the link. still a good deal.
