40% off all Le Creuset cookware at David Jones

40

Considering the cost of these items, I think 40% off is great.

See page 22 of the DJ catalouge.

you could atleast provide the cost for us upfront, rather than us going to get it ourselves…

Maybe you missed the part which says ALL Le Creuset cookware.

Should jondgls have to go into the store and get the RRP for every Le Creuset item before posting the deal?

To be fair, just saying "40% off" is a little vague; I had to go into the catalogue myself to verify that it was 40% off RRP. 40% off the typical street price would have been great, on the other hand. :)

        From the catalogue:

"Save 40% on LE CREUSET cookware.
For example: 24cm round French oven was $399 now $239.40, 26cm skillet grill was $249 now $149.40.
Serveware not available at all stores."

40% off the RRP brings the prices in line with typical street prices, so the discount isn't as good as it sounds.

    • lol street prices?

      • Heh, you haven't heard the expression "street price" before, I gather? :)

"Street price represents the price which you would pay if you went to a store and bought the product. It isn't a sale price or the published price, just the actual, common selling price. Some manufacturers tell their dealers to sell right at list price. Others provide a low enough wholesale price that the selling price can be significantly below "list price". List price is generally meaningless, so street price is a more realistic comparison price."

        • i got what you meant, just never heard that used from a bricks and mortar perspective

    • agreed.

  • Here's a great example on RRP prices taken from my shopping expedition for a tefal frypan last night. RRP in DJ's was 79.95 … RRP in Harris Scarfe 119.95 for the same item. Strangely enough both had 40% off. Even RRP these days is pretty ambigous with kitchen items. Best to post price for comparison.
