Ae you currently any 540g boxes on sale?

    • +18

Coles catalogue shows them on special at $9.50 in VIC from tomorrow.

      http://d2g5na3xotdfpc.cloudfront.net/uploads/pdf/COLVICMETRO…

      • Also half price ($9.50) for Coles at NSW Metro starting tomorrow

      • +8

Think I was hit over the head while typing that last comment.. *Are they maybe ¯_(ツ)_/¯

      • +8

Brilliant…would mean $40 to buy $50 voucher from Coles Express = 5 times movie voucher, 5 boxes of favourites + $3 to spare. :D

        • +1

How do you get 20% off Coles express? I missed something!

        • Not sure if I missed this deal. how can you buy $50 voucher from Coles Express for $40?

        • +4

@Spackbace: I believe there was a targeted amex offer that you can sign up to that says spend $50 on coles express, get $10 back.

          Let me get the link.

          EDIT: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/320382 It's actually spend $40 get $10.

I also am not sure if this is the deal that he means, maybe there's another.

        • @sigplay: AMEX deal.
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/320382

          lol got beat by seconds..

        • +1

Normally coles express doesn't have the same specials as normal Coles though?

        • +1

or shop at coles first for chocolate and get 4c OFF voucher and then fill up at coles petrol station.

        • @superm86: Might do this. What's the minimum spend at coles to get 4c off fuel voucher?

        • @Zaenille: Correct. I was coming at it from the perspective of maxxing the number of movie tickets (5), hence buying a $50 gift card. I suppose you could just ask for $47, in which case 5 movie tickets + 5 boxes for $37. :)

        • @Zaenille: $30 after any discount.

        • @superm86: Cheers mate

        • @Zaenille:

$30 spend gets you the 4c off fuel voucher

      • probably not the specially mark ones so wouldn't automatically assume these qualify

        • Had a look earlier tonight…can't see any specially marked ones.

    • Specially Marked.

    • Half price in QLD Metro from tomorrow as well - http://d2g5na3xotdfpc.cloudfront.net/uploads/pdf/COLQLDMETRO…

    • No

  • specially marked pack of Cadbury Favourites (540g)

  • $19 @ WW, but worth getting if they go half price

    • +1

Coles have them 1/2 price starting today for $9.50

      • Unlikely they would be specially marked packs at this stage

        • Can confirm, wasted buying 3 of them :/

      • +6

I might change my username to 'someone at movies' soon

  • Village cinemas?
    No thanks.

    • +6

      Prefer Village People?

    • 'scuse me, step aside… free ticket coming through.

  • Good deal if you get half price! Otherwise I generally pay 2 for 1 through Entertainment book so $10 each.

    • What deal is $10 each?

The Melbourne deal has 2 Hoyts for $32

      • Palace Cinemas. Oh but they are now $12.50 :(

  • Chocolate plus free movies, my kinda deal.

  • +2

Anyone know if we have to buy in five separate transactions or if we can just buy five in the one transaction?

    • +6

The receipt is only showing your proof of purchase, I don't think it matters if you buy one, two or all five in one transaction as inside the Favourites box is the unique code. So you'll have five boxes, each with unique codes and if you need to show proof of purchase you can show the one receipt with all five boxes on there.

  • +8

Coles tells me I have to spend $60 each week for four weeks for 10,000 bonus points. I'm going to buy a few boxes of Favourites in my shopping as I usually only spend $30-$40 a week at Coles. I get to 10,000 bonus points, plus choc and free movie tickets too! Nice! #winning

    • +3

      Shinboner spirit ;)

      • +1

It's there, but it's been a tough year! Bring on 2018!

  • +1

Movie Ticket Vouchers expire on the date as stated on the voucher which will be 3 months from the date of issue. Movie Ticket Vouchers must be redeemed for a movie session prior to the expiry date.

    • So best to keep some codes/receipt scans up your sleeve. :)

    • Thank you, have added to the post.

    • +1

Unique code…you'd be tampering with the product to do it….and most likely causing the next purchaser to return it.

    • +8

      dick move

  • Sound like a good deal, even though I dont eat milk choc. Deal is a deal, amirite?

    • +2

If you don't eat them you could gift it to someone in the cinemas. I'm the dark… super creepy.

  • No Hoyts ticket, kind of a deal breaker.

  • +1

Has anyone spotted any marked packs so far?

    • +1

Went into Melbourne Central Coles and wasn't able to find any…

    • +1

I couldn't find any marked packs at my local Coles too (Footscray VIC)

    • No packs in Asquith NSW

    • +2

There were 9 at Coles Hallam which I purchased, none at Fountain Gate Coles when I checked earlier.

    • Got some at Coles Hornsby Westfield

  • Checked today with coles no special mark. Is it valid?

    • +1

      Must be specially marked packaging.

    • As per BartholemewH's comment it must be a specially marked pack. You need the unique code from inside the pack to claim the movie ticket.

      • +3

I think the actual question here, given that many people have visited stores and can't find any specially marked packs, is: what's going on with this promotion?
        * Is it a matter of cadbury only marking a few random packs per shipment, ie 1 in 100 and including them in all their deliveries from 11/7 to 31/10?
        * Or are all these 540g packs going to have the special promotion marking on them, just that Coles hasn't sold enough of the standard packaging and they've got their new delivery of special promo packaging still out the back, waiting for shelves to clear of the old stock?

If anyone has seen the specially marked packaging, let us know when/where, etc…

        • +2

          Probably the latter.

Coles isn't gonna clear all normal products off their shelves & restock the empty shelves with specially marked products.

        • Hopefully given they are on sale it helps to move stock!

  • Wonder if coles will have that specially marked item.

  • They are half price at Coles but none are the 'specially marked' ones

  • +3

Damnit re lock of specially marked packs. Hopefully half price means they start moving and new stock has the promo codes

  • +4

Got 5 specially marked packs at a Brisbane Coles store (Springwood) today for $9.50 each. That had heaps of specially marked and normal packs.

    • Do you have pics of the stickered packs? Curious what they look like.

      • +5

They probably look like this - from Woolworths August Fresh Magazine page 86.

        • +1

Yep its that logo on the front of them - unmissable.

  • -4

Got 9 specially marked packs from Coles Hallam (VIC) for $9.50 each, there was only the one crate of them. Checked Fountain Gate Coles as well and there were no specially marked ones there.

  • +1

  • Anyone in Southwest Sydney found any Coles stocking the specially marked packs? None at Green Valley NSW 2168.

    • +1

  • +3

  • +4

Plenty tonight at Coles Melbourne Central but they're not in the confectionary aisle. They're on top of the drinks fridge in front of the checkouts

  • +1

I bought 3 from Warners Bay NSW. There was about 5 remaining. I'm going to get more in coming days but will try a different Coles (we have a 3 local stores) to let someone else have a crack at those.

  • +2

Errr. I bought 3 packs but there's no unique code inside? Where should the code be?

Edit: Denial phase - I have bought the wrong packs.

    • Eat all the chocolate and pretend you've never bought them

  • Plenty at Caulfield uni Coles

  • Plenty at Coles Springvale

  • Just picked up a couple from Campbellfield. Vic.
Only two more on the shelf but I figure they must have more out the back.

  • Lots available at Coles Sunnybank (QLD)

  • Also available at Coles World Square (Sydney)

  • Loss leader promo…good for consumers!

  • +1

      • +2

Oh yeah, true. Thanks for that.

        Also, cool username.

  • +1

For those in the North-Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, Greensborough Plaza Coles has a few boxes in the regular chocolate aisle.
