Cheapest Place/Way to Buy Treadmill ?

Can someone please advise where I can find good quality treadmills for a decent price?

Hard rubbish collection. Seriously- I have seen about 10 out on the nature strip in the past 2 weeks in my neighbourhood.

      That's where mine came from!

Found another that had a loose magnet in the motor (made a grinding noise), fixed and sold on GumTree. I sure it's now proudly keeping someones clothes off the floor.

  • depend of what you want…and for what (just walking or running ? user weight and size) …..define decent price for you? I bought years ago a lifespan torque model bidding on ebay if not mistaken paid like 600, ….wonderful machine.

    Search Gumtree for "Ironing Rack"

Just rent it, 6 months down the track you will sell it. Trust me

Why is that? Any particular reason you would get sick of them quicker than say, my ten year old stationary bike, which I continue to use 3 or 4 times a week?

      • Because the cheap treadmills are awful to run on and you will find yourself going outside instead.

  • I got a decent Lifespan one for ~$600 by using an auction sniping site off eBay. (Similar to jparga I guess)

I had to snipe because this was before all the crazy eBay coupons.

  • Just check when your local council are having their next hard rubbish collection. You will then have your choice of brands etc etc

  • In the mean time, just walk/ run outside.

  • Run/Walk or join a gym.

I used to service/repair for commercial gear (while at uni), but the importer also did some home gear sold at Rebel Sport and the like.

The home stuff is absolute junk. If you really want one, get a second hand commercial one (they come up for sale when gyms update).
