3.5mm in-Ear Stereo Earphones w/ Mic $1.19 USD / $1.49 AUD, Free Shipping @ Tinydeal.com

160

Decent quality earphones w/ mic (basis reviews) for just $1.49 AUD, ships free from a reputed website. A perfect product for heavy users of earphones who need a few pairs every year. Not a big compromise in quality at an amazingly cheap price. Leave aside earphones w/ mic, we don't get even extra buds at that price. I believe the OzBargainers who aren't into top brand, expensive earphones will appreciate this deal. Definitely worth giving a try. Also, a great idea to buy a bunch of these for your school going kids who tend to lose or break the things more often than not. Enjoy!

Added Headset to my xiaomi redmi 2 because they don't deliver one in the standard package.
The Piston Basic Headset is very "basic", only mid and high frequencys are hearable. Sound modification or equalizers didn't help to change that.
I made a call with the Headset, but the person on the other side couldn't here me. Later testing with the recorder app of the phone showed a very low signal of the headset microphone, even if you directly speak into it.
Buttons to start/stop music and changeing volume work ok.

    summary:
    - headset sound only high fequency
    - headset mic not useable
    + buttons work ok

Appreciate it, but you pasted one neg review above but ignored 40 positive ones? Not fair, Thangcuoi mate.

      • +1

Those 40 positive reviews are not reviews, but simple comments…
@Tinydeal u get points for leaving comments for things u buy.

        • Probably as reliable as Banggood or gearbest's reviews unfortunately. E.g. this fidget spinner has a 4.8* overall rating, but almost everyone on OzB is complaining about rust and short spin times (and likely paid a lot less).

Decent headphones for a buck fifty? I highly doubt that.

    • -1

Don't risk your buck fifty if you don't trust the reviews and website, mate.

      • I won't, because cheap isn't always good.

        • Your call. You can always save a buck fifty and go for $25 earphones pair which is more decent.

        • @virhlpool:

Not necessary, you only have to spend ~$10 for a decent pair of earphones.

        • @Lorindor:

Which model do you prefer and how did you first come to the decision to buy the $10 pair?

        • @octagonalman:

A pair of Xiaomi Pistons is a good start, at least you're getting some sort of brand name to go with it, and for little extra money, it's hard to pick these over them.

        • @Lorindor: so following your experience with using these $1.50 headphones then you'd only recommend at least spending $10?

        • @altomic:

I haven't used/don't own the earphones in this post, I was just pointing out that one would be better off spending the extra on something half decent.

          You seem salty.

Had of pair of very basic but trusty earphones die a few weeks ago and for the life of me, couldn't figure out what they were or where I got them from. They looked exactly like these so went back to look at my emails and found an invoice from Mushtato in 2014. I paid more than $1.50 for those but were original Xioami Piston Earphones.

These don't state that they are Xioami (and are likely fake) but the customer review photos show they are from the boxes. If these turn out to be original Xioami's, I'll be happy…and surprised!

    • Well, to be fair to TinyDeal, they aren't selling this as Xiaomi product at the first place. It's a non-branded product (or home brand, whatever we prefer to call it). Chinese market produces many earphones looking like Xiaomi ones (just like there are Sony and Philips lookalikes), but this one is at least not being sold as Xiaomi. eBay has much more crap products if you compare it with websites like TinyDeal, GearBest, BangGood and so on. These websites give more value to the quality of product (compared to eBay and Alibaba) since it's about their own image and there's no 3rd party seller involved that a buyer can see.

    Thanks Op, ordered a couple

    Too true. Thanks op.

    • Trust me, $1.49 spend will bring a million dollar smile on your kid's face - much better life choice than scolding them for losing or breaking the expensive ones until they become mature and responsible.

  • These piston 2 clones are absolutely abominable. The guy saying "- headset sound only high fequency" was being too nice… Reviews are good for just about everything on Chinese sites like GB, BG, and tinydeal. I too bought these for the sole purpose of wearing in bed, but they went straight in the bin.

At least spend $5 or so on something like the Xiaomi Piston Fresh's, or on the KZ line (e.g. the ATR). They'll last at least 3x longer to justify the price and won't sound like a tin can…

There are probably better sets out there for $1.50…

    /rant sorry

    • Pistons for $5, hard to argue with. I've been using them for years. Really good.

    • There are probably better sets out there for $1.50…

Happy to hear your recommendations for those available for this price.

      • Just because they're $1.50 doesn't mean they're worth buying. As I said, have bought a pair of these "piston basic" myself and know how they sound.

        Anyway, some examples:

        Here
        Here
Here, braided cable, better and more "reviews" from the same site. Same pair for $1.20 here

I'd never, ever, recommend anything in this price range though.

They don't appear to be the same. In the worst case, even if they are of the same breed, I would not mind paying $0.25 premium to TinyDeal over eBay where most of the non-branded items are crap anyway.

        • -1

          @virhlpool:

These are unbranded and likely come from the same original suppliers where eBay sellers would source theirs. Anyone interested can get the green variant of these "pistons" from here for $1, a huge saving of 50 cents from this deal… 3 for the price of 2!

Anyway, my argument is simply: $5 isn't a huge outlay over $1.50 for something you're likely to be using for a long time.

        • +2

@donnot: Can't believe people are making fakes of things that are not even expensive to begin with. Fake Beats! or Bose? Sure. But why make fakes of something that's $5? You don't make that much money from selling them.

  • +1

Decided I'll give them a try. If they suck I'll toss them out.

They don't look like any Xiaomi Pistons I've ever seen.

I am a first time buyer as well. We will see people's reviews on this thread once everyone receives theirs. I am also of the opinion that this deal deserves a try.

I spent $10 on coffee in last week alone though I am a conservative spender on food and coffee outside. Not all that coffee I drank was great. I still don't whine as I enjoyed the feeling of having a coffee at that moment. I don't see a point complaining too much about $1.49 product before even using it, if it serves its purpose for a reasonable amount of time. There's no reason TinyDeal would sell it if it was going to bin in a week's time.

  • Coming up as $2.00 AUD, seems to have expired

received mine, concur with @donnot, these are absolutely the worst. Yeah they were only $1.49, but a complete waste.
