Does this come with an Australian power adapter?

    Thanks.

    • Nup - no AC USB adapter is included. I just plug mine into my Tronsmart 5port thing and it works fine :)

      • Whats the speed like on these things? =O I'm keen to get one but uncertain about the speeds… Would you be able to get 300mbps?

I recently upgraded from the Netgear WNDR3700 to R9000 so I don't use the Xiaomi repeater anymore. Before though, I was achieving about 70% of my internet speed (~22mbps on a 30/1 plan) when connected to the repeater. Provided the signal at the repeater location is okay, then the boosted signal will be pretty fast

        • @northshore: Thanks

        Order #100464458.

I know it's just 44 days. One full day is remaining. Hope I will get by tomorrow.

        • Hope is a biatch.

      • No response for more than 24 hrs. I have finally raised the case with PayPal for refund.

      • I raised case with PayPal and "Galaxy" has told that it takes 15 - 60 days from the date of dispatch where as your website says 2 - 3 days for processing and 7 - 45 days for shipping. My order was dispatch on 27th June so it took 10 days for processing instead of 3 days.

I did a Ookla test with Xiaomi — it looks like it performs at

27.30 Mbps down and 12.23 Mbps Up.

direct Wifi connection with my router gives me

48.35 Mbps down and 19.29 Mbps up

this is on my NBN connection which maxes at 50mbps down and 20 mbps up. So there is a noticeable performance loss with a wifi repeater (this applies to all Wifi repeaters, since repeaters must receive and transmit, but many can't do both at the same time. So what you see with my results is basically almost 50% loss in performance).

    • Im on fibre with 930mbps down and 520mbps up. I assume this repeater is probably capped at around the 20-30mbps down mark.
Was hoping this would atleast give me 100mbps down as it does state 300mbps =/

      • Im on fibre with 930mbps down and 520mbps up.

        wtf? how?

        • I mean my cable speeds as im on 1000/500 plan. I get around 200mbps on 2.4ghz and 500mbps on 5ghz wireless atm but it doesnt reach parts of the house so was considering a repeater.

        • He's probably from Korea.

  • Good luck trying to setup this repeater. Took me aaaaages to get it to work.

    • Does it require Mihome app?

      • You need the mi home app to set it up, works great and took me less than 1 min to set it up.

        • My experience with Mi Home has been bad. You need to set it to Mainland China as region or it won't work. Makes it hard to set up because you can't read what it says. And I still can't get the Eyecare 2 lamp to connect. So the Wifi light blinks perpetually which is really distracting.

        • @lostn: I set my region to China as well but the apps is mostly in English (I use iOS), except for some device name.

    • took me about 1min, worked terribly so now i guess i'll throw it out :(

      • took 1 min for me to setup as well and it works great for my cable 100/10mbps connection wtih a TP-Link Archer d7 router

Improved the speed from 40mbps to 56mbps in my lounge room which requires the router to go through several concrete walls.
