Omnimount Play40 on sale on amazon with about 64% discount. Bringing it down to about $229 delivered, a lot cheaper than anything I could find on staticice($414) or ebay($500).

          @Ryanek: Why restrict this mount to just cheap tvs? Thats not even Full HD and no where near 50".

  • I'm lazy to reach to the TV let alone needing to readjust the positioning.

    Just don't see how I need to move my TV around if I'm stretching or standing up.

    • I'll use it to reposition a TV facing a seating area or a bbq area. So has its uses for me:) i won't be moving when I stretch?

  • Would it take bigger than 55"? Surely it's a weight limit, not a size limit. Perhaps the vesa mounting plate is different for bigger tv's?
