Free Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Block @ Chatswood Westfield (NSW)

490

Long time lurker, first time poster. Pls don't hate.

Spin the wheel outside Victoria Secret in Chatswood Westfield to receive one FREE full sized Cadbury chocolate bar! Looks like they are giving out some new flavours.

You will get a free bar regardless of what the arrow on the wheel lands on. The arrow decides the flavour you get - no guarantees it will be your favourite flavour.

Not sure how long the stand will be there.

    Diabetes is also complimentary.

    • but not mandatory…

      • +1

A 'welcome surprise' then? I say this somewhat ironically while chewing on a Snickers bar.

Spin the wheel outside Victoria Secret

So is it a competition or a free chocolate ???

    • +4

had one of these at my local supermarket. you spin the wheel to decide what chocolate you win. But you are guaranteed to win so it is a bit of both. Definite freebie but also competition to get whatever the best cadbury chocolate is.

      • -6

you spin the wheel to decide what chocolate you win

maybe OP could better clarify that in the description then…

        • +2

Should they also post step by step instructions on how to spin a wheel?

        • @Jimmy007:

Well, OP obviously agreed it needed clarification that this wasn't a competition, and changed the description.

Perhaps you should ask the OP if you want it changed with instructions on how to spin the wheel, which is irrelevant to whether this is a bargain, freebie or a competition…

    • +6

It's free. You spin the wheel for the flavour they give you

      • +3

        thanks…

Now to find a cheap airfare to Sydney…

    • It'll be a guarantee win ie. free chocolate bar essentially, so it's not really a competition; just that it may not be the flavour you want the most.

haha thanks… definitely worth a try.

Maybe they'll also come up with Vegemite !!! haHAHA…

      • There really were blocks of Cadbury's Vegemite briefly about 4 years ago. I only ever saw it at Coles Glendale NSW and never got round to trying it.

        • +3

It wasnt bad. Not something i'd buy again as there are better flavours, but if i was offered some for free i wouldn't be upset.

Also sure it wasnt 4 years ago, im sure it was in the last 18 months (since ive lived in my current house)

        • @Matt P:

Why ruin good chocolate with Vegemite?

They should make chocolate flavoured Vegemite, that'd at least be an improvement.

        • @Matt P: You are nearer to correct than I; it was about March 2015 and at Greenhills NSW not Glendale. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/3682786/redir It came down to 51c in some areas.

        • I was sure it would come down to 50c and the I would try it, but I never saw it again.

      • Tasted like salted caramel :)
I'm no fan of caramel, yet it wasn't bad in small dosages :)

Damn, no John West Tuna flavour.

        • +4

          It got rejected

Thanks OP - got myself a sick roasted almond bar!

    • -6

      a sick roasted almond bar!

so someone had vomited all over it ????

      • two almonds walk into a bar and ask for a drink?
The bartender refuses and says "Are you nuts?!"

        • -1

          Why?

Did the bartender have a nut allergy ?

        • @jv: yes but it was actually just a peanut allergy

        • @Gimli:

          actually just a peanut allergy

          Ha ha…

I get it now… He thought the almond was a peanut !!!

        • @jv: I know right.
          The bartender is nuts.

        • @Gimli:

          The bartender is nuts.

So he's also a nut, and allergic to nuts?

        • @jv: no she is nuts

        • +1

          @Gimli:

This joke has so many twists and turns…

        • @jv: lol. that is it. no more turns.

they all lived happily ever after.

        • +3

          @Gimli:

Ah yes… They all went to work at Sanitarium.

        • Oh dear I do hope they got better.

  • the queue for this was ridiculous…

    • +5

      well it is Chatswood …

      • why's that?

        • +4

Willy is suggesting that the local population are genetically predisposed to appreciating a bargain/freebie

        • +1

          @Matt P:

Playing with fire guys: A large proportion of the userbase here are genetically predisposed to taking offence to such inferences and reporting them to the moderators.

          Oh wait! 🤐

        • -1

          Chatswood is mostly Asians

        • hahaha i see…

  • +1

It's because of chocolate I don't go to Victoria's Secret.

  • Nice S8 OP

    • How'd you know?

      • Metadata on photo.
        It's scary

  • Thanks op, might swing by on the way home and see if it's still there!

    • Let me know if its likely to be there tomorrow I commute through Chatswood station and my 71c old gold block from Big W is running low :)
When does it open? Maybe I can beat the queues!

      • +1

The queues weren't very long. We lined up twice (shh) and it only took about 5 minutes or less each time.

        • Oh that's awesome!! I'd definitely line up twice if it was less than 5 mins wait!

  • $2.50 at woolie now. Feel lazy on Sunday, but thanks OP for sharing.

    • Saw the coffee one for $1.50 at Coles - at least at several stores around Sydney
