I am surprised, eBay Dell used to have 100% feedback, but few users now complaining about the delays in delivery sometimes.
Secondly, thing I noticed was the item location, it says Sydney warehouse or Malaysia factory, so if the item is out of stock, the reason for delay is simple.
Item condition is brand new in ebay,so I am surprised, why they give discount in ebay.
Anyways, if you feel this is good, enjoy the bargain :)

  • I bought one of these recently with the 15% off from Dell online. it is a 23" LED good monitor for $170 delivered.

    • but the price online says : 269, how did you get such a wonderful price. 170 is way more than 15 %.
Can you explain please to help Other buyers.

      • In all OzBargain posts, the link to the product is the IMAGE at the top right, or the very first line (next to user name)

So, in the OP above the link is to dell's ebay site & price = $189
        http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390246…

Whilst the link in the text (normal online price $269) is just for comparision

        Hope that helps

      • dell was selling the old 23" model (S2309WFP 23 ") for $199. I used a 15% coupon so $170 delivered and moneybackco is extra. when the monitor turned up, it was not what we ordered so I wrote to Dell and they told me it is a subsitute and the 3 yr warranty is still good.

        • Thanks for the update.

  • Good price for a 23" LED TN monitor.

  • Can this be used as a TV with a digital set top box?

    • if your set top box has hdmi/dvi out I dont see why not.

  • Good price, but I hate the fact that it's 23, not 24. 1 inch doesn't make a big difference but, I still prefer 24".

  • well i just got one, and it can be used for Digital box..:D (Via a HDMI Digital Box!)

for that price u cant go wrong, expecially LED

    • Just wondering how do you use for TV? Isn't it need antenna socket?

      • It cannot do of its own. but if you have a HD set top box, then you can.
Just connect the HD set top box via HDMI cable and enjoy the digital channels through it.
But I think, you need to have a separate home theater or speakers for sound.
        Hope that helps.

  • can we adjust the monitor height ?

    • I had the same question, and they only list "tilt" in the ad, so it's exceedingly likely that it is not height adjustable, and that it cannot pivot either (i.e. rotate 90 degrees between landscape and portrait orientations). I find the following site to be useful for specs like this for 24 inchers, although it does not list this monitor as it's a 23": http://lcd24-7.info/Monitor/Dell/UltraSharp-2405FPW/Default.… - In general, you want 2405FPW up to U2410, for a fully adjustable 24" Dell monitor.

  • looks like no vesa holes which isn't good

Your reason for voting neg isn't good.

98% feedback is fairly acceptable and don't forget this isn't any old seller without an ABN number.

    • 1 of the worst reason for a neg ive seen here

its ebay, it's dell, they sold plenty.

    • The seller is Dell themselves.

    • Lol its Dell, not your average ebay seller

      • +1

Agree - DELL is worse! :-P

    • That's a load of crap. 10 neg feedback in the last 12 months, and most seem to be about slow delivery. Like scrimshaw said, this is from an actual wellknown company, so that combined with Paypal buyer protection makes eBay feedback almost irrelevant in this case.

    • negative for you, not justified!

    • wow, did u think before u typed that?

Dell has had a pretty bad history on OzBargain as well, and that's through their regular sales channels. If anything, I would trust them less through eBay.

  • No mention of speakers? I guess it doesn't have any.. I'm still looking for a basic LCD with HDMI input and (basic) speakers so I can play my PS3 in my bedroom..

    • Looked on the Dell site, optional soundbar is available…..not offered as option on ebay though, bummer, seems to be a decent deal.

    • Perhaps you might want to try looking at a AOC 2436VWH which is a 23.6" LCD (not LED) monitor which comes with (very basic) speakers.

Also HDMI and VGA capable. Does not have DVI. ITEstate has it for $185 (but no free shipping).

      • There is no stock, it says for that price, if you check the link further. secondly, arc.com.au do sell it at 188, but you have to spend 300 dollars at their store first. otherwise it is 197.
Rest, Dell is a well known brand , with good service. I dont have any idea for AOC.

      • I bought that AOC 2436VWH when pricesengine had it on special, The speaker built in is very average, for gaming with the PS3 imo you would want something much better.
I only use the inbuilt speaker for alerts from trading software so it serves that purpose fine, but for anything else it is pretty crap.
The monitor itself is very good.

        • Also the monitor doesn't seem to have volume adjustment.

How about the BenQ G2420HD — it doesn't have any speakers, but it does have a 3.5mm output jack that will allow you to connect headphones or speakers to it.
          Volume adjustable as well.

          • @scrimshaw: To adjust the volume on the AOC monitor you need to push the down arrow to bring up the volume bar, then the menu button to activate it, you can then adjust the volume.

Ashamed that it is via eBay. I don't like eBay and paypal. I will buy 3 at this price if it is at Dell website.

    • Dunno why you got negged for this, it's fair enough comment! We all have places we just won't shop for whatever personal/professional/anecdotal/empirical/philosophical/theological reasons!

I draw consumer lines in the sand that I won't cross all the time, one of them goes right across the door of any OrificeWorks store! Their constant bickering over honouring their own price matching policy turned me right off the franchise! Reasonable? No! Understandable? Yes! ;)

    • That is a personal perception. You can call Dell and confirm, if they can give you same price on it.
By the way, I like eBay and Paypal more than personal sites( Though Dell is an exception), as paypal gives you Buyer's protection in case of wrong item, not delivered, DOA, etc.
and Paypal gives it only with eBay, otherwise it is mostly dealing with seller itself.

Like I got ripped off from COTD through Paypal and Paypal said, deal with seller directly and they will see.

Again, that is my opinion. every one has its own.

      • In response to customer feedback one change is that we have extended our Buyer Protection Policy to non eBay purchasers. From 2nd November customers who pay you with PayPal will be protected if they receive a product that does not significantly match its online description. This will help to ensure that buyers feel even safer when they shop with PayPal.

Too bad this won't help your case with COTD.

  • So if you have separate speakers and subwoofer, could you connect it to the monitor so it could play sounds coming from my PS3?

    • no. you can connect your ps3 to your speakers through an AV receiver though.

  • what is Dell pixel policy

  • Thanks! Just bought one. Only 7 left now…

    • make that none left!

      • yup all 100 gone.

  • What is the different between led &wled???

    • Widescreen LED, i think.

I wish this had come up the other week when ebay had their 50% ($50) cashback day. I would've bought this screen instead of the Acer 23" i got.

  • Oh dam… I dont check the site and this comes up :(

    me is sad

  • I was thinking of buying this before but i wanted a 24 inch. Since my brother has a 23 it needs to be bigger for me xD

  • +1

WLED means White LED which are actually Blue LED's. White LED is a cost effective implementation of LED in monitors, the next level up is RGB LED Red Green Blue which is cost prohibitive at this stage for monitor use.

  • For those who missed out it's back on again but for $10 more
