Stop negging and spend 2mins learning how ctshirts do codes.

Thanks link now working, i have revoked the neg.

Anyone know how to do the measurements to get your size for these?

  • +1

I'm trying to decide between the slim and super slim shirts, but I can't find the measurements for the waist (only shows chest, sleeve and collar measurements). Can anybody point me in the right direction?

    • Actually I am having the same issue. I have another slimfit from another company and the sizing doesn't appear consistent.

There are free exchanges/returns so I guess one could go for two of the most likely and one of the other, see how it goes…

      • +7

+1 - Bought 3 last time. Extra slim fits is not even that slim! Definitely go for the extra unless you want to look like Dwight from the Office :)

    • +7

hey mate, for sizing, unless you have a serious gut, don't bother with slim, get extra slim fitted as they are much better around the arms and upper torso. I've got somewhat of a stomach, but still a lot of excess room in that area. A considerably overweight person could still wear extra slim fitted and still look normal.

    • +8

Extra slim = normal slim on other brands IMO

      • 👆🏻👍🏻

      • +1

Not even slim IMO, maybe fitted.

    • +5

I find that this site helps: http://www.shirtdetective.com/charles-tyrwhitt-vs-tm-lewin/

Definitely go for Extra Slim Fit if you usually purchase Slim Fit shirts at say for example YD, HnM or Tarocash.

IMO, follow their recommendation on Sleeve Lengths. However collar size is a different story. I bought a Extra Slim fit 39cm (15.5 inches) collar/86cm (34 inches) sleeve. It supposedly fits the chest 105cm or 41.5 inches; equivalent to a Size M (which is the usual size I purchase for dress shirts). Whilst the fit was good and the sleeve length was fine, I was finding the back to be a bit restrictive. Therefore I've exchanged it for a 41cm/86cm.

They do free returns/exchanges too btw

YESSS!! Two of my favorite CT shirts got blown off my balcony the other day. Looks like it was a sign for me to get new shirts :D

    • +1

Stop having sex on the balcony straight after coming back from work.

Not sure why you got negged, his name is Harvey Specter

      • he works from home ;)

Is this eligible for the 6.4% cashrewards? Gave it a try either way.

  • Great - worked for me, thanks!

  • Thanks… been waiting for this to come back!

    ordered

  • How do these shirts compare to Rhodes and Beckett?

    • +1

R&B are overpriced, so these compare quite well.

    • I'm with you on that question. I would never pay anything close to retail for them, 70% off was more the sweet spot!Finding a shirt with similar quality/fit would be awesome

  • I'm going to order, then when I go to secure payment it reverts back to full price?

    • Looks like code won't work for existing members. Should put that in the title.

  • +3

It worked for me. I am able to avail the offer.

Initially I too could not find the offer.
The trick is "not login first".

Choose the product and fill the shopping bag while the price is shown as $39.99.
Once you choose 3 shirts, go to payment page and it asks for user-id and password.
When you login then, the offer stays and you complete the payment.

    • That is exactly what I did and it changed it. In the end I used a different browser and checked out as a guest.

    • This worked for me too… I got my order ready before logging in. Then went to checkout and it asked if I was a guest or had a password. I said I had a password and logged in and the price stayed the same for me too.

  • This is a great deal. Good to see their new season styles included.

  • General question - anyone know of any of these 'better' shirt retailers that have slim fit shirts with 'darts' in the back? I only know of Taro Cash / YD / Connor, etc who do. Without darts you're still left with baggy waist if you're broad shouldered and don't have the standard man-gut.

    • Charles Tyrwhitt come with darts in the back, but they are very minor. You can extend them yourself if you want to or pay a dry cleaner to do it.

Not sure why their product page says the shirts come with pleats … because my order from 5 weeks ago (before the last 3 for $99 deal expired) have darts and not pleats. Might be worth confirming with live chat/email.

  • Hi all. Would love some guidance

I'm about to order from this mob for the first time.

Because I'm not sure about sizing, I plan to get 3 of the same shirt (I'll probably play it safe and get a plain white shirt), but in 3 different sizes to establish my exact size from here on in so I can make this brand my go-to for shirts.

I plan to return the other two if 1 fits like a glove

Then re order again another 3 for $99.

Can someone please suggest if this is a good strategy?

    Thanks

    • I'm in the same boat, trying to work out what size I am to then make these my go-to shirts.

I don't know whether you have to pay shipping for returns?

      • You don't, they provide return shipping sticker.

        • I know you don't have to pay for shipping but my concern is, if I return 2 of the 3 shirts, will I be legible to buy another 3 shirts at the $99 price tag?

        • +1

@unistudent1: If the promo is still going and it's not just for new customers, why not?

        • +1

@unistudent1: Yes they maintain the pricing on exchanges.

        • @djkelly69: thanks so much - that's waht I needed to know :)

    • +2

CT shirts don't fit to standard size definition of the popular brands in Myers or David Jones.
I wear classic fit Van Huesen shirts.

I ordered a classic fit CT shirt of the same collar size and shoulder length.
They were way too big. Felt like sitting inside a tent.

Once again ordered an extra-slim fit with a bit of skepticism. Found to be perfect fit for me.

Their size guide says they trim the knee-long backside in slim-fit.
And in addition they reduce the circumference around the shoulder joint for extra-slim fit.

      • What about super slim fit?

        • That is any other brand's slim fit IMO.

    • Not sure why someone downvoted you, I did this exact same thing when I first ordered from them. I even asked them through their online chat and they recommended I go ahead and do so. Excahnges/refunds were a breeze.
Just fyi, the casual shirts fit a bit differently to the business shirts and have less options.

edit: Returns and exchanges are free.

  • My issue with TC shirts, especially the ones I like to order, casual shirts, is that the fit is good everywhere else except the sleeve length. Their casual shirts come in S, M, L, and XL etc, so you can't pick and choose your color & sleeve lengths like you can while buying their business shirts. The only way you can get longer sleeve length is if you have to go one size bigger, and that would mean a huge shirt. Arggh!

  • Found the extra slim fit to be quite baggy. Quality shirts but if you are very slim they dont' fit great.

  • Do they have physical stockists/stores in Melbourne? Wanted to try on my sizes before purchasing. Google has not been kind, could not find anything :/

    • +1

no they dont. their sizing is on the larger size. I usually wear a medium, 39" or chest 98cm-100cm. For CT, I have to order extra slim fit, 38".. Hope this helps.

  • Opened a new MS Edge tab, 3 for $99. Excellent. Clicked "checkout", new price $207 (ie $69 each). So I called the 1800 #, they honoured the pricing. I was just thinking I needed new shirts over the weekend…what is OzB psychic now or something

  • How do the casual shirts fit compared to Uniqlo? the uniqlo shirs fit me near perfect but would like a but more variety.

  • Which would would be a closer fit to Blaq Slim fits? Extra slim fit or super slim fit?

  • TM Lewin cuts are regular, slim, fitted and super fitted. I usually get fitted. What is the equivalent to TML fitted in CT, Extra slim fit or super slim fit?

    • +1

Have a look at the chest and waist measurement comparison here:
      http://www.shirtdetective.com/charles-tyrwhitt-vs-tm-lewin/
It seems TML Fitted is closest to CT Extra Slim. Waist measurements are almost the same, but chest measurements are tighter in CT.
Super Slim is a new fit, so doesn't appear in this comparison yet.

      • Thanks. Good find

    • +1

I wear TM fitted and CT extra slim. TM fitted is probably tighter of the two (but it is close).

CT super slim is new so not sure what that is like.

If you have not ordered CT before, just watch the sleeve lengths as their standard option tends to be quite a bit shorter than TM. If you know what you like with TM, just order that.

      • Thanks. Just grabbed 5 shirts and will see how they compare against my TM ones. Went with CT Extra Slim and specified known sleeve length.

  • Can anyone confirm from previous deals if cashback is paid on this? It says in the T&C's that can't be combined with cashback and just wanted clarification.

    • I gotta >> 20% discount + free delivery << coupon along with my previous purchase.
Tried it on the >>clearance sale<< items, it was not accepted.
Tried it on the regular priced ($69) ones, my expectation at checkout was $55 (20% discount + waiver of $12 delivery), however the checkout cost was something like $68.xx (some type of discount + 12$ delivery).
Not sure how they apply these discount coupons.

    • +1

only worked when i went to this link www.ctshirts.com/aunb99, so NO cashrewards

  • Anyone minds to elaborate why these shirts (or others from similar deals) are so popular at $40 each? You can always find good shirts for $40!

    • $33 each, and they're great quality. Please share what good shirts you can get for $40 dollars locally.

  • My order still hasn't arrived. Chatted with online support, and got the impression the shipment has been lost. They offered to send again, but one of my selections isn't available, so they allowed me to swap it for something else from the same range. The new shipment will be via their priority postage with tracking.

Anyone had this happen? I'm curious to see if the original shipment still arrives, or if it was even sent in the first place.
