    not a bad price
I have the 10.5 and even if the 9.7 was half the price of the 10.5, I'd still grab the 10.5

the extra screen size is worth it, not to mention the added responsiveness of the apple pencil due to the 120hz screen

    • I've seen a few 9.7 deals lately but I'm holding out for a good price on the 10.5 myself. How do you like the Apple Pencil, does it perform as well as some of the Wacom styluses?

  • How much bigger does the 10.5 feel in the hand compared to the 9.7?

    • If you picked them up separately you wouldn't notice the physical size difference. It's about 1cm bigger, in both dimensions I believe.

      • Thanks. Might go play with the demos in the Apple Store when I get the chance.

Don't want to have a monstrosity that is the 12 incher.

        • There's huge gaps between each app icon with the 12". It doesn't seem to give more real estate.

  • I assume there won't be a tax invoice for GST refund?

    • I wouldn't see why not.

Why would there be? The title says this is a direct import.

        • Maybe I dont understand, but as a buyer, we are buying from Kogan, so I would have expected an AU Tax Invoice.

        • @GaelicAU:
On further reading, located further down the page…

This Product is offered and supplied by Kogan HK Limited

… so I guess you are correct, probably no GST invoice.

  • Good price. Also worth checking refurbs in the US Apple Store. Much cheaper than the AU store.

    • Same specs from US Apple Refurbished store > 649USD = $817.13AU (+ delivery)

Can't comment on the deal… but I know the iPad Pro 9.7 is an amazing device. I picked one up for $500 just before the 10.5 was released (2 weeks). It is fast and fresh and with iOS 11 is a great portable computer. I combined mine with the iPad Smart Keyboard and know I don't even bother taking my computer home some nights.

Granted a smaller screen but I even had 2 word documents open yesterday side-by-side and had no issue working… granted the font was kind of small but it worked.

    • WiFi version?

        Apologies. Yes WiFi version.

It is actually a funky story. I worked in Officeworks North Gosford to get a standard iPad (2017 Model) for $550 and saw the iPad Pro ex Demo for $500. I grabbed it and couldn't test in store as the battery was dead so went home and charged it. Couple of hours later I notice the screen has weird burn issues and after calling Apple they told me being ex-demo (comes up in their records) it has no warranty.

I took it back to Officeworks to return it and get told that it does have warranty through a re-seller. So they send it off for repair, get informed the entire screen needs replacing which is too expensive. So come back tomorrow and a brand new one will be made available to me. New one has a new serial number so normal apply warranty and everything!

Only downside… it is Rose Gold. But in a case can barely tell.

Apple they told me being ex-demo (comes up in their records) it has no warranty.

The regulators would have a FIELD DAY (excursion?) with this.

The only explanation I can think of is that Officeworks are supposed to destroy them not sell them.

You definitely had rights to warranty from Officeworks, glad it was sorted in your favour!

          @LoopyLou:

I know I COULD have forced it. And Officeworks did support it.

The think I liked from Officeworks is before the iPad was replaced I was offered to get extended warranty on it as well. Can't fault Officeworks.

  • Dumb question but is it last gen?

Nvm looked at apples website and there is no 9.7 iPad pro meaning this is last gen
