  • Some quick opinions on the Samsung 1440 monitor would be awesome?

  • +1

Where's the awesome hot and cold table?

  • ANy opinions on the 31.5" monitor? How's the 1080p on the 31.5"?

    • +4

      I have a 31.5" 1920x1080 different IPS monitor.

It's very low resolution for desktop which has dire effects on quality for some things because you can see pixels at a normal monitor viewing range - but you get used to it. Provided you can use anti aliasing it's nice for games particularly thanks to size.

      • This samsung 1080p monitor is only a VA panel not ips. VA panels supposedly have lower refresh rates for gaming. I like the picture quality on IPS panels more

I purchased one for $269 aud on msy last sale. Im really impressed with the screen. Maybe its bc i upgradred from an older 27" samsung 1080p lcd. But im happy with the va panel n the viewing angles. My older monitor had light bleeding issues while im viewing it on my setup in bed. This one doesn't.
As for colour accuracy it seems ok for me 1080p picture quality is consistent on both my monitors n is much higher quality compared to my older acer 24" lcd.
Its a good bargain steal for $229. Where else can u buy a 32" monitor for that cheap?
And if u compare this to a cheapo tv eg soniq 32" tv from jb hifi this one blows it out of the water.
I never upgraded to a 4k monitor yet i still think 4k tech is still in its infancy most 4k monitors only support hdmi 1.3 n not hdmi 2.0 for higher refresh rates n data transfer. One day ill upgrade to 4k 1080p does me fine for now

  • How's the powerline adaptor?

  • Only 2 products left? When you click on a item in the image it shows only 2 items.

Edit don't worry you can manually search for the others from other stores.

tplink power over ethernet kit discount plz

  • Wish we'd see 5GBit switches under $100 AUD - it'll happen evetually.
    (8 port..)

    • ? There is a speed between Gb and 10Gb Ethernet?

      • Yeah it was ratified in the last 12 months, with very good CAT 5/5e and CAT6 cables, you can do 5GBIT (600MBytes/ sustained)

It probably doesn't bench that high, but I'm sure it'll do at least 3 or 400MB/s.

Heck I have awful CAT5 20 years old that does 1GBit no sweat.

  • does anyone know if the USB adapter is dual band?

  • The steel series mouse any good?

My CM reaper mouse became landfill in less than two years, and my Microsoft ergn with eco-paint crapped itself after 5 years.

Currently on a backup $15 wireless mouse and $5 keyboard.

    • It's good, but the price they're selling it for is not. I bought mine from them for $19.
I bought it back in February.

  • "EDIMAX EW-7711USn Wireless N150 USB Adapter with Detachable 3dBi Antenna"
Compatible with Macbook, OS Snow Leopard?

  • That Orico USB hub looked nice… until it says USB 2.0. :(

    • I bought it to use as a 'charging bay'. I'm tired of having USB devices all over the room, plugged in everything from computer ports, to monitors, to wall outlets, to God knows what else.

Luckily, I have just about 5 or 6 devices that need to regularly be charged. The extra ports will come in handy when visitors drop by.

  • Wow $15 postage. No deal.

  • Has anyone got the ac1200 usb network card? would be interested to know peopels experiences. mixed reviews online

  • $10 postage for a tiny wifi adaptor that can fit in a envelope? Got to be joking.
