      • Too early :) thanks.

        • No problem :) I will update the description

Nice price. If I have a PS4, I might have cancelled my Rift order and get this.

    • +1

Really why? I was considering buying the rift myself just now.

      • +1

Rift is better, of course. I was considering this mainly for convenience with my house/room setup.

        • +2

Was trying to reply to you before sorry. Don't cancel your rift. The content for rift is better than psvr.

        • @Wiede:

No I won't especially since it would turn out to be more expensive for me as I already have a high end laptop and I don't have ps4.

    • +3

Got both of them now. The PSVR is definitely more comfortable and feels sturdier than the the basic Rift, however the Rift is has far more enjoyable content on it.

With that said, both are a lovely experience

    • +2

Even if I had A PS4, I still would choose Rift over PSVR just because move controllers are bleghhh

  • Item does not ship to Australia ?

    • +1

Yes it does? Follow the link

      • +2

Sweet - changed when adding the code :)

  • I to got this"This item does not ship to Melbourne, Australia. Please check other sellers who may ship internationally.
Ships from and sold by Amazon.com."

Edit. But still allows after added to your cart

    • I didnt see that message weird. Also it added the delivery charges for me.

      • Yes delivery is not free. total cost is $440.60

        • If you use Commbank platinum or gold the total charge is only $425 (pick the US currency) as it won't charge you for currency exchange.

  • +1

Does anyone know if this requires a power adapter or if it is just powered by the PS4's USB ports?

    • +2

You will get a processing unit which required AC power (don't worry it is 100-240 universal adapter). you do need a AUS to US plug changer though

      • +8

And that adaptor may be a pair of pliers to twist the plugs pins 45 degrees to fit an AU socket.

        • +2

          the ozbargain way :D

      • Cool, thanks for the reply.

  • What is the code? Sorry can't see anywhere

  • Waiting for GT sport in VR

  • -4

There's no AAA games for VR

    • GT sports in VR. If that's not AAA there's something wrong

  • There's a very real possibility that it's just me, but I can't see on the Amazon page any mentions about the special offers/games?

NVM, found it right down the bottom when I waited for the page to load - not that it's a huge deal, and is easy enough to get around, but I wonder if the games would need to be redeemed through the US PSN store.

  • This works with ausyralia ps4?

    • Yes fine. There no region protection on games or hardware

      • Cool

  • Crap just bought, now have to find some cheap motion controllers. You got me Sony. Real nice.

  • +2

    Sheeet that's a good price.

Can someone tell me if this is all I need? I have a PS4 Pro and a DS4. I'm down with the helmet, but I don't wanna use those PS3 motion control things. Can I get by with a DS4 or do I need to pick up and use those motion dildoes? Because tbh that could be enough to make me skip this.

    • +1

      dildoes

    • They arent essential but for most of the shooting style games they make the gun a bit more realistic. In all honest though I only really play the two main titles of Res Evil and far point with the aim controller. Most can be played with jsut the game pad for a better experience.

      • I only really play the two main titles of Res Evil and far point with the aim controller

Are these two games enough to make it worth getting a PSVR?

        • +1

The VR worlds title was good for a bit of fun for a while and if you can pick up the titles when they are on sale in PS store things work out a bit cheaper. Once complete though you rarely go back to any of them. If you are a stickler for precise gaming you will hate VR. As a casual (read crap) gamer though I enjoy the immersion and have justified the initial outlay.

        • I'm not too sure if REVII is compatible with the aim controller but I've played it in VR with the DS4 and it's pretty immersive. I bitched out after a couple hours and played the game without VR, but the VR is good.

Farpoint I finally found after JB restocked the bundle 2 weeks ago and have played 2 hours-ish of. It's honestly great. Can't wait to get back to it this weekend. I'd recommend VR for this and also Eve Valkerie. I've put like 50 hours into Eve, I love it.

      • Well, now I'm genuinely thinking about this.

        Sorry, bank account.

  • Do u need a converter for this?

    • Well yeah I suppose you would as the separate VR box you get that you need to pass the HDMI through requires power.

  • Sony isn't investing in VR imo, well not enough anyway to purchase this product.

  • Seems there are no Headset + Camera Editions Left, or am i just blind? :?

    • +2

      Seems so. We're too slow!

  • +6

    Seriously - finished already?!

    • was soo excited to get one at this price :(

    • Who knows, they might be able to restock? Also the codes were digital, so you'd have to make a US account I assume.

      • +1

Yes, you'd need a US PSN account to redeem the codes.

        • How do you get a US PSN account? I ordered the VR thingy but I haven't used my PS4 in years. I think I have an Australian account.

        • +1

          @maf101:

You make another account on your PS4, then keep it logged in while you also login to your main PSN AU account and access the games.

That's how I accessed other regions' DLC and digital games by having one account in each region.

I'm assuming that's the case, never tried it with PS VR games before, but it should work.

        • @maf101: Create a new account on your PS4 and then while logged in to that account, create a new PSN account. You'll be able to choose your country during the signup process.

After you've signed up, you can redeem the code on the new account, then log out and once the games have downloaded, you'll be able to play them from your regular Australian account.

      • Hopefully they do restock, yeah if the games are digital there is a high chance you need to make an Us account, but not getting the games in the bundle isnt a big thing for me, $440 for the Headset & Camera is still a great price

  • +3

Part of me is sad that the bundle is out of stock, yet part of me is relieved as well.

Still on the fence, I'd jump on it viciously if it included a pair of move controllers.

  • Asked Amazon support about a restock, got this response:

    "Hello,

I'm sorry currently we don't have a stock date from the supplier.

I will be sure to pass your message on to the appropriate department in our company for consideration so that they can make arrangements to avail this item as soon as possible.

I'd suggest checking our website from time to time to see if this item is available. If anyone is selling it, you'll see a "More Buying Choices" box on the product detail page.

  • If anyone hasn't received there free game codes, I used chat to talk to Amazon and they gave me a voucher code that gave me all three games.
