  • Not a bargain unless it is $20 :P

  • $20 would be an offer from HK without tracking and may take over a month to arrive. If you interest, I may workout an offer for that

    • +2

I'm pretty sure there would be interest for a cheaper price on Ozbargain.

      • +4

Lots of interest for <20 AUD deal.

    • +1

I'll be interested in 2 if it is <$20

    • +1

You will get the traffic if $20 is on! :)

I bought one from Gearbest on the 2nd of August for AUD$19.56 (with tracking) and it arrived yesterday.

        Me too..
I bought it and it's working fine..

        Thanks

  • I have one and the app is half in chinese.

    • +1

Are you using IOS? The Android Mi home is much better and it's 90% English.

      • +4

Can’t really use android if you have an iPhone…

I have one but the time shown is 2 hours behind, which is the time in China. Can't set it to Australian time.

    • Ridiculous. I'm pretty sure China has several time zones to contend with.

      • Would like to know where? Please advise.

      • China actually has one Timezone for the complete country.

      • I'm pretty sure there is only one time zone in China

    • Got the same issue, that's why I turned off the time watermark.

I prefer the Xiaomi dome home 720 camera, got it for $48, you can pan and tilt, better UI, and you can save the recording to NAS or any SMB shared directory.

  • How easy are these to work with? Is there a newbie discussion somewhere.
From what I have read so far, you need to set location to China, but that's about as much as I understand so far.
    Thanks.

    • Once you set the location in China. It is easy to set it up. However, display time is 2 hours behind though.

It’s easy as, I have one and I need more but this is too much.

      • +2

Easy if you get it to connect the first time. But if you have difficulty pairing it to your device, you need to use a mobile hotspot first to pair it, then once paired, then connect it to your wifi. That's how I managed to setup it up as I couldn't get it to connect to my wifi.

  • app asks for ridiculous permissions. I suggest look at installing the app before buying. it wants to pwn your whole device/

I refused to install it…so I have one of these sitting idle indefinitely. Eventually I'll set it up on a dummy phone just enough to install the hacked firmware (well that's the intention anyway)

  • Yeah I don't really like ShoppingSquare. Ordered a microSD card from the last deal. 1 week after estimated arrival date and it hasn't been posted. I open a 'item not arrived case' on eBay. Suddenly the item is sent, and I get an message from ShopoingSquare saying that opening a case was unnessessary. Well send my items on time then !!

  • Bought two, not cannot connect to wifi router.
    Not working at all.
