Seriously MtDruitt??? What are they going to connect it to, these guys have no TV DVD

    • Yeah they do. You can score free TVs easily from people upgrading their panels and chucking out their old TVs.

  • Bourke St have still got pre order stock.

I bought the AC adapter and extension cables too, the lay buy guy didn't know if they were authentic Nintendo though

    • The lady at the counter couldnt tell me what the extension cables were for but I ordered them anyway. Are they for the controllers or something else?

      • yep for the controllers, 2 cables for $19 is steep when compared with ebay which would be nice if they were authentic nintendo

      • Both genuine. Yeah the extensions are for the wired controllers. Apparently the ones on the NES last year were frustratingly short and that is the solution (or a long HDMI and have the box near you).

      • They would be controller cables as there's 2 of them.

        • Yeah i assumed as much. Thanks for confirmation

  • Any info on Tasmanian Targets?

I'm heading in to the Hobart CBD Target tomorrow. Will report back if I have any luck!

    • No luck Hobart CBD store, I suspect there aren't any statewide for TAS.

The hysteria around these things, how many are going to end up on display in 'mint condition' a la the 40yr old virgin. Lol.

  • Any idea whether there are plans to do this nationwide or is that just speculation at this point?

    RRP

  • Finally got one. Be aware that some stores (like mine) are charging for both the SNES Mini and the 'twin pack' as a part of the pre-order by default which brings the cost to $140. I didn't realise until I looked at the receipt while I was walking out. I then returned to the counter and told them that I don't want the $20 twin pack just the SNES Mini which they fixed up immediately. The lady claimed that she thought it was a part of the bundle so it would be worth checking your receipts to make sure you haven't been charged an extra $20 as well.

    • What's the twin pack?

      • +1

Twin pack is just an extension cord for the two controllers

        • Ah ok. I didn't know that the controllers we're detachable. Nice

  • Thanks for this, got one at Helensvale. Signs are up at laybuy and the electronics/entertainment counters.

  • Just ordered one at Mt Druit. Guy said each store has been allocated 600 units. They haven't even had 100 gone yet but he mentioned a lot of people have come in today as word gets around.

He said its pick up only, no delivery and store will call when they arrive.

    • I was told 600 between all the stores.

  • So you can only per-order in person at 2 store per state, 10 across the entire country.
Does that mean when the SNES mini is physically released on September 30 only those 10 store will be receiving stock, or will all Target stores get stock?
If pre-order in one of those 10 stores will I be able to arrange to pick up my order in a different store?

    • I would say it's only those 10 stores when it's released, if they wanted to send stock to other stores they would have set up pre-orders at those stores.

  • Not sure if you will be able to. I ordered in NSW but live in Melb, that's why I asked if delivery was possible.

Looks like I will have to organise another work trip early October to collect 😄

  • I ordered mine today from the front counter at the Mt Druitt (Sydney) store. They had signage advertising it at the front counter, lay-by counter, and also the audio counter.

I was told they had sold 17 units yesterday (Tues 22/8) and a handful today. Pickup is from the same store, although after your initial $20 deposit, additional payments can be made at any store.

  • Seems like a fair system. No doubt it will be brodened some way.

  • Got 1 at bourke street today, thought i would swing past and have a look to see if they had any pre-orders left and very happy i did, thanks all!

No stores (Target) in Canberra are doing pre-orders. That's lame.

  • Got mine at Mt Druitt store on 22nd Aug. Don't know if they still have the console to pre-order.

In case having someone in NZ to receive it, EBGames NZ still has pre-orders available:

  • Pre-ordered mine yesterday at Mt Druitt. Was told they'd gone through about 150 of 700 pre-orders.

  • Just got mine at Waurn Ponds (Vic) they have about 50 preorders already although the layby lady wasnt sure how many units they were getting/ cut off was.

Any other store being added to the list before Saturday?

    • Went to Liverpool but was told they weren't taking preorders? Asked people at the front and at the entertainment desk at the back.

  • hi

Can anyone confirm price for optional AC Adapter and if its original Nintendo or aftermarket brand?

    Thanks

    • $10 and aftermarket.

  • ordered mine at Glendale today, didn't expect it was still available as it is supposedly sold out at EB and JB

in regards to the AC adapter, do the SNES console comes with one? the guy at Target seems to think that it does not and I will need to order that as well for it to work, I declined anyway……..

    • in regards to the AC adapter, do the SNES console comes with one?

No, they don't. You can use any Wall Charger (that come with most smartphones) you'll probably have lying around.

      • thx for that

I did further reading ups on it, seems like it is powered by mini-USB, so I guess a phone charger should do (or will the USB port on the TV work?)

        • mini USB != micro USB

Your phone is most likely micro USB

  • Eb games now have pre orders available for anyone interested….

  • Thanks, just preordered at bourke st, vic

  • Target Tea Tree Plaza still has them. They said they will probably still have ones to sell on release day. So if you want one and live in SA go to the plaza.
