  • if delivery was free, i'd order then, but i'm in melb…

  • It would be good to hold all three at once to fend off the rain

  • Delivery kills it, otherwise I would have ordered. good umbrellas.

  • I'd be interested to hear from people who bought these last time.

    Are they any good?

    Did they last?

    I am sorely tempted….

      I bought them last time.
      Yes.
They are all still fine. I bent one slightly when it was wedged in the boot- my fault.

They never blew out, they are massive. When out on Fri and Sat nights and it's pouring, random girls would run under my umbrella. They are that big.
I am tempted to buy them again.

    • I bought them last time as well. They are big, but not good umbrellas. The supports are not as strong as some other umbrellas and the handle is crap plastic. including delivery 9$ is an ok price imo.

      • So the $90 RRP is just BS then ?

        • I've bought an umbrella at full retail of $30 and it is totally awesome. Much better than 3 times these umbrellas imo. I went back and bought another 3. It's just so hard to get umbrellas these days.

Unfortunately they do not seem to have printed their brand on the umbrella, so I can't tell you what it is (I have one next to me right now), however it's an Australian owned company.

I bought them last time and I think they're great. I used one quite a few times, my girlfriend did the same and we both thought they were nice and sturdy umbrellas.

Best of all, I still have a 3rd one that I haven't even used yet!

did your girlfriend get upset when the random wet girls ran under your umbrella?

"Waterproof design with Woodworm logo on side panel"

    A waterproof umbrella? Wow….that's great! :)

as stupid as it sounds, water can leak through the material of cheap umbrellas

      • +2

I've bought a $3 umbrella before and it didn't leak.
Just wondering how much cheaper can it be…

      • the cheap umbrella can leak in heavy heavy rain. Force of the larger droplets causes a tiny bit of water to go through the light material, therefore with lots of big droplets you will notice constant sprays. on the upside its better then nothing :)

  • Good deal. I still have my $10 golf unbrella from Aldi. I used it today too.

You're playing golf in this weather ???

      • You realise golf was invented in Scotland right? They're still trying to figure out what that mysterious "sun" thing is people keep talking about, over in Europe.

        • So that's why it's called the dark ages…

  • +1

I bought them last time and they were and are still great value - they always manage to sell them when it is raining everywhere too!

    • I bought some last time too. I'm sure there are better umbrellas out there but for $9 each, they're a pretty good deal. Just purchased another set to save away for a rainy day.

  • link not working?

    • must be expired coz i can't find it on their website and the link doesn't go straigh to the product

is that enough grounds to give negative vote??

      • It was a 24 hour deal, it's expired now.

        • OP should have put a date of expiry then!

      • No. And I hope you're kidding.

        • -1

          so its not expired?

  • I broke both of my umbrellas within a week after years of faithful service, about 4 weeks ago. Since then, I've tried resisting buying an umbrella on the grounds that I do carry them a lot but don't use them. Either the rain's not heavy enough to bother, or else I'm lucky and just miss the storms.

I finally bit the bullet and bought three umbrellas, only to go to work the next day and discover someone had left their very nice umbrella leaning up against the wall of the building. If my "come get your umbrella from me" note left in its place does not work, I'll have scored a free umbrella so I'll have four for the next storm.

Try and get me then, Mother Nature!!!
