Razor Powercore E100 Electric Scooter $147 + $18 Delivery (RRP $299) @Harvey Norman

90

I was looking around at prices of Razor scooters for the kids for xmas and saw these new Razor models at prices hovering around $299 then came across HN's price. I didn't believe it until I got the shipped confirmation.

Cruise around town with the Razor Powercore E100 Electric Scooter. Capable of up to 60 minutes of continuous ride time, the Powercore E100 lets you traverse long distances without worry.

Key Features

  • Easy to operate, the Razor Powercore E100 Electric Scooter features a kick start function and twist-grip acceleration control.
  • With no alignments, chain, and chain tensioner to worry about, the Razor Powercore E100 is virtually maintenance-free.
  • For a smoother ride and increased traction, this electric scooter comes with a pneumatic front wheel tire and a rear flat-free rubber tire.
  • The Powercore Electric Scooter is recommended for ages 8 and up.

From what I can tell it goes up to 17kmph (11mph). It's sibling the PowerCore E100 Glow has many many reviews on Amazon here and from what I can tell only the glowing deck is the difference.

It's not available for pickup, only online and with delivery. Unless you can find them in one of the HN BigBuys stores.

Enjoy!

I need four of them, one for each foot and one for each bum cheek.

    • Same… but what i want to know is… is the 200w limit for scooters per device or per mode of transport? Might get 10 and bolt them together… :D

Heavy feet you got there Steve.

Powercore E100 lets you traverse long distances without worry.

As long as you're on private land in NSW.

    • Yeah, I thought they have now banned all motorised scooters on public land in most states.

  • Any suggestions on (non-powered) reasonable quality scooters to buy for toddlers?

    • as they will smash the hell out of it anyway, i recommend getting one with as little plastic as possible

I bought one of the cheap 3 wheel ones as her first starter scooter. It stays upright and stable as they are getting on and off it. And being cheap, i didnt care if it got trashed and grew out of it. It's still going 3 years later. Looks like its been through a chaffing machine, but she still likes riding it and she is 6 now. Ill buy a better one when she asks or this one dies completely

      • I'd seen the cheapos at Kmart and wondered about their lifespan.

        With or without brakes?

      kmart has an extensive range
bought 2 for my 1yrold and 2yrold at the beginning of the year when on special $20 each i think it was.

      • I'll ask you here as well - With or without brakes? He's 2.5 so I'm thinking he won't really understand how to use a brake yet, however our driveway is on a slope, and he is going to crash into a gate again and again I imagine.

          Without brakes

Lifespan- my wife initially got one for free and u can tell it was not looked after (left out in the weather) but it still works like the new ones we bought. Kids prefer using the old one sometimes.

        • @cumova:
          Thanks

    • I would personally recommend a local Facebook buy and sell page, usually people give them away (or sell them very cheap) as the kids grow out of them.

    • I bought the Reid one, pretty sturdy but 50 bucks.

Since this goes over 10kmph, this is classed as a motor vehicle in Victoria, so can only be used on the road if it is registered and the rider has a motorcycle licence or learner permit - see VicRoads but can be used on private land.

      user name checks out

    • Oh dear, it seems like I will have to stick to my 12kmph tram speed to work (barely enough to be a motor vehicle)… I would save a few good minutes with this one, if not only by VicRoads.

    Ignore weight limit, ride anyway?
