Good Price on the Samsung Gear 360. I've been checking on the price lately and it has dropped further from US$119.62 to USD$101.92 (including shipping). It is an older model but in some aspects, it is better.

Similar price to the Telstra deals but the Telstra deals are near impossible to get, selling out in minutes.

Price has lowered further to USD$96.77 Delivered

WARNING: Comments say there may be some overheating issues when recording with extended periods of time.

Not deal is not duplicate as the previous one has expired and price is different.

  • I have one - its good. I don't have a compatible phone, but you don't need it. Just click the button on the camera, and after 5 secs it takes the picture.

You can transfer pics to PC using USB.

Only hassle is that there is no easy way to delete pics from the camera. USB does not allow delete for some reason.
You have to take out the sd card and put it in your PC, to delete pics from it.

I tried to turn one of these off but it apologised to me and said it couldn't let me do that. Fortunately this model has short stubby arms that couldn't stop me, I hope they don't upgrade these too much in the future.

  • I'm using one of these for a project at the moment and by God is the software a pain in the ass to use.

    • What issues are you having and what software are you using…

      • Spent hours trying to extract the videos I took from the camera, which sometimes were copy protected for some reason? And it doesn't show any thumbnails on the files when connected to PC, so had to open each one to see if it was worth keeping, which tooks sometimes MINUTES to do for some reason on the new Alienware desktop.

  • Avoid. Has overheating issues, which causes the focal length to change. After recording for a while, footage from one of the lenses will be blurred.

    • As far as my experience with both models over heating happening when you keep camera in water proof case for Snorkelling or scuba otherwise it's excellent product in this price
Also have use both models of gear 360, can say new version is far better awsome quality for video n pictures.

  • Wish it would work with my iphone.. but as mentioned it's not 100% needed to have a compatible phone.

I got one last time during the telstra deals to mount on my inspire 1 and mavic pro.. have not used it much yet but after stuffing around with the android apps i got it working on my spare Mi MAX phone.

    • Have you mounted it on your Mavic? How exactly? Had any success? If not, how were you thinking of doing it?
I'm thinking of using that exact setup for a job, but I'm worried about vibration being transferred if I mount it straight onto the body somewhere.

  • Are these suitable for use in an investment property to keep an eye on the tenants

If not its there something better

    • No, they aren't a permanent camera and don't have any real streaming capabilities.
      They overheat fairly quickly.

Pretty sure that's called being a pervert and will land you as the main news story on ACA

    • wtf?

  • Ordered it and then cancelled it - I noticed there is a price drop after I ordered it (Amazon did this to me a lot lately). Also, with the overheating comment, plus after seeing the reviews, it is not for me I reckon. I'll just the 3D videos done by other people.

  • can I make videos like this with the camera?

  • Amazon still lowering the price on this. Looks like Amazon or Samsung really want to clear them.

  • Will definitely get one of it dip below $100 AUD… 😀

  • Thanks OP! I kept missing the Telstra sales so glad to finally get one :)

    • :) Me too, i keep missing the Telstra sales
