Saw it published on Facebook page.

Just bought one for work which can fit in tiny pocket of work clothes and it is waterproof too (work requirements. I don't piss in my pent. JV will be the first one to ask).

600 lumens. Battery last up to 10 hrs.

Cheers

So you also need to buy the extra extension tube just to use eneloops which also doubles its size? Meh.

Nope, you need the extension tube if you want to use 2xAA cells. It takes 1xAA by default (or 1x14500 cell if you want maximum output).

    • The extension is for 2 x AA. For 1xAA you don't need it.

    • Mine's working fine off 1x AA Eneloop.

  • I can see it has different functions, but can anyone confirm a simple on off press works? Can't stand torches that force you to go through all the modes.

It looks like it. It's got mode memory, so whatever level you turn it off from it will turn back on to.

Yes. Pushing the button switches it on at the same level you left it (handy if you don't need to be blinded when you switch it on), push again to switch off.

When I read stepless I was hoping for a rotary interface. :(

I bought one of these during an earlier deal from Banggood. It's a very bright, cool-white light; the magnet is strong enough to stick it to the fridge and the UI's very simple. It comes with a lanyard, spare O-rings and a diffuser (a cone you put over the top, like a traffic wand; makes you easier to see if you're signalling) but it doesn't come with a belt clip.

If you buy the extension tube it comes with a (removable) belt clip; and think about getting a 14500 rechargeable battery & charger for it, as that'll make it nearly twice as bright (or run twice as long at half-power, which is plenty bright).

Here's a review; they're comparing it with the "ReyLight Pineapple", which is less bright but has a warmer, more natural light; and is twice the price.

For the record, I have no financial relationship with Banggood/Blitzwolf, other than buying stuff off them.

what 14500 battery would be good with this?

  • Could this be used as a light "to see" on a bicycle in urban areas?
