matches my sons mouse pad ….. had to get one ……

for $29, this is no-brainer. got one, thanks Op

    • Update : Just picked up from Moorabbin VIC. The price tag on the box was $79.95. It doesn't feel like spending $30 dollars, it feels move like saving $50 dollars on something I don't need.

      I've got Ozbargained again. LOL

  • Good brand

    • +23

Huh? Isn't this brand know for being over priced trash? This price seems alright but.

      • +2

I've been using one since 2011. Had literally 0 issues with Razer mice.
The downside is that their Synapse software is trash.

        • Yep. I avoided them for years, then accidentally ended up with a Deathadder. I soon bought more, for my laptop and work computer.

But I don't install the software.

      • $70 standard price for the Razer DeathAdder is cheap compared to other gaming mice, I don't think you have used many razer products. They are quality and will last a much longer time than cheaper brands.

        • +1

Agreed. I have used razer products since forever and they generally last at least 5 years. Mice, keyboard, headsets etc.

      • +1

Razer gear is legit quality, my Razer peripherals are still working perfectly even with the rough treatment they get from lugging around to LANs and having drinks spilt on them. Overpriced trash? You get what you pay for with Razer, a slight premium that is 100% worth it.

      • +2

I got a Copperhead in 2008 and it lasted 7 years. I don't know about now, but they certainly made very high quality products. Anyway at $35 all up it's going to be hard to beat.

      • its known for being overpriced, but its not trash. other than the headphones, most product they do are good.

      • not really no. been using razer gear for 6 or 7 years and never had anything die on me. friends all use it, no issues either. build quality is top notch (yes I'm serious, especially the deathadder and blackwidow). prices are nearly always cheaper than competing products. they just have a bad rap cos "lol LEDs"

  • Great price!

  • +2

This was my previous mouse and it's excellent - possibly the best ambidextrous mouse available.

    • You need to try a Logitech G900.

      • I have a g9x :)

        • Love the g9x

The Price is $36 since most people e.g me, are to lazy to go to harvey norman

    • +2

$29 plus shipping for the "lazy people"

  • Shall be trying to grab one tomorrow for sure. My current left handed Razer DeathAdder is wearing a bit old…

    • +4

Best to order it now online and pick up for free in store, going in store tomorrow might be too late as some stores are already going out of stock.

  • can you turn the green light off?

    • Yes. You can fully town off all of the lights on it if you choose.

      • What if I like the city?

  • Pretty basic mouse. Kind of overrated deal but I guess you can't really go wrong for the price.

  • +5

hmm.. no stock in shops nearby and $14.95 postage really kills the deal

    • +1

my $15 chinese brand mouse from over 10 years ago still works perfectly..

  • Is there a way to find all the clearance stuff heavily discounted from Harvey website?

  • Good deal. Thanks OP.

  • No stock in Victoria?

    • Yeah nothing in SE Vic or CBD

    • Must not be much stock around and/or selling out quickly. When I posted it the majority of VIC stores that came up after a couple postcode searches had stock.

      • yeah i got in just as it was being posted and there were reasonable stocks around but it's not an item the stores would have kept 100s of just shelf stock and backroom ……. hence postage if no click n collect left……

  • Does it have smooth scroll?

Word of warning, the Razer brand is pretty "top notch" but their mice are (profanity) horrid. I've never heard of one that hasn't broken down a year or so after purchase. Mine died a couple months after the warranty ended. $50 down the drain, I've never had a $5 mouse fail on me as brutally as my Razer did.

Sure they're great while they work, but they eventually die for some weird reason.

I bought a $10 Razer on clearance from JB Hi-Fi which was posted on Ozbargain probably about 8-9 years ago.. used it pretty much daily for the first 6 years and it was flawless. Only reason I don't use it now is because I got a Logitech M570 (trackball) but otherwise it still works fine, so I gotta say I've had a pretty different experience to you.

      • Me too. Bought a Copperhead and I used that for 7 years.

      • It must be a hit and miss thing.

Then again, I don't trust Logitech either like this. Weird how that works, right?

    • +1

I have a Deathadder that has 6 years of being dragged to LANs, dropped on a hard surface twice and numerous beverages spilt on it. Still works flawlessly and not even a scratch all these years later. My friends have had similar experience, Razer mice are legit.

      • I've bought it after reviews online and such.. but everyone I know has had one and has stopped using it out of it breaking early.

Maybe I'm just cursed… or lucky? A $15 multimedia keyboard and mouse at the local comp shop will last me 3 years.

    • My copperhead lasted me 6 or 7 years. Buttons started to go after that time. Now use a g9x for the past 4 years. I've had to fix the cord a couple of times on that though so even logitech is not flawless.

    • I'm still using a Lachesis, 6 years in.

My last mouse was a copperhead that was part of a Dell Monitor deal, that one lasted 7 years.

Bought a couple of these discounted ones as a backup. Can't go wrong for $29.

    • Got the Diamondback in 2005 and still using it.

    • Yep I had one and it broke after one year. It was just the quick buttons like the dpi controls that stopped working. The pain was it was shorting out and changing my dpi from 3500 to 8000 during game lol.

I took it apart and looked the actual left and right switches are omron so a decent brand. For some reason they skimped on the connectors using cheap thin
Ribbon connectors? Which broke and bent the pins "cough cough" I don't know how a ribbon wire could do that I think it's just bad quality control.

    14.95 postage kills it

  • Shipping is coming to $14.95 for Melbourne CBD. What locations charge only $5.95?

    • +1

Hmm it was $5.95 Australia wide, however I think postage increases when local stock runs out, it seems the cities that have more expensive shipping also don't have stock showing in metro areas from a quick look.

As of now Perth and Adelaide are still showing $5.95 but they also have stock in stores.

      • Thanks for the clarification hamza.

    • +1

Shipping to Adelaide CBD was only $5.95. Everything is more affordable in Adelaide :)

      • +1

Except maintaining your sanity, that would be expensive in Adelaide.

  • +1

Its a good deal, but $15 postage definitely makes me not want to buy it.

  • Thanks OP, my mouse is on it's way out. Picked up a V2.

  • Anyone in the Wollongong area wanna split for one with postage?

  • Delivery ruined it for me.

    • Agreed…..as if $15 - should be like $8

  • Anyone in SE Melb keen to split postage?

  • Thanks OP. Nabbed one

  • I AM JUST ABOUT TO SEND MY RAZER DEATHADDER IN FOR WARRANTY, IT START TO PEEL AFTER 6MONTHS OF USE lol…. ill get one of these to keep me going while they send me a new one :)

  • 1 left in Launy I think.

  • +2

Looks like HN have pulled the product from their online store - if you search it shows there is a result in the $28 price range but there are no results

    • I bought one about an hour ago. Guess I was just in time? There were no discount labels or anything though. I had to get a price check.

  • I love my Microsoft wireless 5000 mouse. So good for gaming. Ive bought 2 over 3 1/2 years though.

  • Anyone been contacted by HN for pickup yet?

Order placed last night, was showing instock.

    • My order has been placed on back order, and suddenly received a refund.

      • +1

Same. Typical HN - incompetent beyond belief.

        • Unbelievable still havn't got a call from Broadway yet. FFS gota call them to follow up or I would forget.

        • @slam: I'll bet about $1M you won't get it. :(

        • @Gav:

I bet now I have to go through the BS process to get a refund.

Flappen Harvey strikes again, useless flaps. If you don't have the goods don't put it up. Their solution is to delay and never deliver and have the customer cancel themselves.

        • @slam: Been here, done that. They were so stupid I had to go through with a credit card claim. Ended up costing them a lot more than the items themselves. Call the number on the order and, after running around because all they'll actually do is call the store (or try to fob you off to it), you should get the refund back within a week.

        • @Gav:

The DH's have been giving me the run about for 2 weeks now. How hard is it to accept they flapped up and refund on the spot. Seriously I wouldn't have been that concerned. Looks like give it until Monday as they supposedly promised and see if I need to get a refund.

I'll raise a paypal charge back when that time comes. Make it hell for them.

        • @Gav:

Yep, cannot source it from suppliers. Guys wanted to offer me crappy Logitech M510s.

  • ordered last night, received pick up confirmation 8am this morning. thanks op

  • anyone will install Razer Synapse? do we really need it? or use the windows sensitivity setting control is enough?

  • Got the mouse today. Felt so much worse than the Razer mouse I bought long time ago ( ~ 7-8 years) and still working fine. The quality of the product has gone down significantly. Hopefully it keep on working. Does not feel as premium as my previous Razer mouse.

  • They cancelled my order :(
