Jaybird Freedom Wireless (Carbon) $149 Pick up from JB Hi-Fi

90

Jaybird Freedoms once again $100 off at JB, I bought mine few months ago and couldn't find any better sports earphones. Also very good for casual use but i prefer BeatsX for casual due to being much more comfortable for me.

  • I've been looking for some earphones to wear while running and at the gym. Especially ones that don't fall out while running. Can anyone comment on these?

    • +2

I use my Jaybird X3s at the gym. They've never fallen out of my ears.

    • I have some Jaybird X2s. Once I found the right fit (tips & fins sizes) I have had no issues using them while exercising.

I find the reviews at The Wirecutter to be quite reliable - http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-wireless-exercise-head…

    • I would recommend you watch youtube comparisons about the two earphones, there's some really good reviews and i depended on them for picking the right one for me :)

  • i have a pair of Jaybird x2, the smallest tips are still too big for me, keeps poping out from my right ear, I can only wear Jaybird when sitting still. Jabra Pulse is perfectly fit for me in gym environment. Having said this, I found Jaybird has a better sound quality (due to larger drive?) and longer batt than Jabra.

  • Thanks, but Jaybird X3 is better and cheaper.

    • Link to the x3?

      • I bought it overseas, doesn't matter for me but important for some. I do not want to advertise the shop, but it can be found in two clicks.

    • Freedoms are cheaper with this discount ;), also what do u mean by "better" I've owned both and could say they are literally the same in sound quality.

      • What about comfortability? Does the freedom's right side too heavy that can cause the earbud fall out during workout?

        • Nah, the freedoms come with a tiny power bank that can be used to charge up ur earphones on the go, but you are not meant to have the power bank on when running and such(it will be fine for casual listening), simply charge up the earphones before u go on a run so u can use them without the powerbank hanging, also theres a specific way with the included clips u can use to tie the them behind ur head for a good fit. I'd recommend you check out youtube videos about it.

        • @iDrownFish:
Thanks for the feedback. Which would you recommend for workout(like running or rope skipping) since you have two devices.

      • Are they cheaper than $130 (the price of X3s)? (Which can be brougt down even further). I have seen some comparisons of x3s and freedoms and most of the reviewers favoured x3s… Don't remember why now, just chose X3s because they are cheaper as well.

PS just remembered that battery capacity is better with X3.

  • I have the X3. They are brilliant headphones. I use my for running. Ran in the rain few times they still work great. Can't fault them.

  • i have originals, i have small ears so a little large but they dont fall out.

  • Went through a lot of comparison reviews today. Looks like the X3 is the winner with better battery and design. Waiting for JB to drop price on the X3 as both version has small numbers of defect items.

    • End up grabbed the X3 with additional warranty for $179 for father's day present~

  • Jaybird Freedom 2's announced (along with the Run) overnight…

Ironically, I went instore to buy a pair of the Freedoms yesterday afternoon, couldn't get served so I walked out. Then overnight I got the email from Jaybird about the new models, so I might hold out for those, available in 3-4 weeks apparently.
