Wow what was a good deal 1 week ago is looking like a rip off now.
Isn't it the better price as the last deal of TGG with free shipping lll
Yea, excluding the extra item it would be a few dollars cheaper, even with shipping. And for me I just so happened to run out of paper
therefore the real bargain is to hold as long as possible not buying because this is cheap now.
That’s exactly what I thought about buying a house 10 years ago…..
Bro we talking about 200 gadget
Every single time a new ATL comes up on Ozb I feel like it is rubbing salt into the wound
I thought I got a steal on the $300 mark!
If you have price protection on CC then you can claim it back 😉
Wow, still waiting for TGG to shipped mine.
Yeah me to they must have sold sht loads been waiting 3 days .
I got my mouse on it's own, and said package 1 of 1 :-/
same. Got a cable organiser yesterday. waiting for the phone.
my order was cancelled. They said it was due to a technical glitch.
Really worried they're going to cancel most of the orders…
Wondering if I should buy this as insurance - eBay Plus means free returns too…
I recall there being a "shipped by 22 May" notice on TGG
I do wonder if everyone's order says "backorder" like mine??
can confirm my order was delayed like this for a few days, had to call to speed up order, and got the g75 yesterday… all good with phone, great value, only real criticism being it's just a bit too big in size ;0
seems reasonably fast for general duties compared to older samsung s22 (it's now unreliable mess with cracked internals?!), and the new android 15 seems smooth to use.
for about $260 with earbuds, this moto g75 package is best value bargain?
edit: one complaint, which i suspected going in… the camera isn't good compared to s22 or even older s20fe i've used. No matter the googlecam ports used, or using the native moto cam software, the photos are overly grainy, lens a bit dull, overblown colours and misjudged white balance, regardless of tweaking
Good phone? Oppo user here
From this forum and reviews , yes !
Hardware-wise, it’s a solid phone for the money—but the bloatware is seriously annoying. They let you unselect the bloatware during setup. I was happy but it installed them later anyway. I think these bloatwares sponsor Moto and bring the price down.
Didn't recall there is an option to unselect during setting the phone up.
There is a Discover new apps page just before finishing setup where games are recommended.
What is the bloatware situation with Moto? I've had their low-mid range G series phones in the past and thought it was a very lightweight android on there. Have they changed approach?
Booking.com, Linkedin, Facebook, Tiktok and about 8 games.
How's the 85 vs the 75? Essentially more expensive if you factor in the buds. could be swayed if it had headphone jack maybe?
g85 uses oled panel
https://nanoreview.net/en/phone-compare/motorola-moto-g85-vs…
The oled of the g85 doesn't outweigh the G75's pro's at all in my opinion. In fact I'd say it's not even close. Also the curved screen can be a dealbreaker for some.
the g85 has a curved screen? I'm out at that point, at least the flat screen will stay intact.
I do prefer an OLED, but it will really just depend on how black the IPS can go, I can probably live with it if it's decent
Anyway to avoid PWM flicker on the G85?
Iphone 8 move to this, good choice?
its good much better battery life and 120hz feels much faster but depends if you like iOS features/ apps but overall the phone is quite nice especially for the price
No in my opinion
Can you further elaborate? Thinking of this is a good upgrade for my dad on Iphone 8+
Have a pixel 8a so should I switch to this?
Lol no…
lol, if that 3 months old phone, I'll get this and swap with your Pixel 8a
Thanks OP! Good deal if you have eBay+ and missed out on previous deals
Not working for me
G75 is Order total
AU $295.19
You're saving AU $9.80 with ebay plus
FY1025
MCEOFY10
EDIT: got it down to $265.67 somehow
Any idea how?
Deactived a code, then was able to add both
I got it for the same price as you, not $259.19, but beggars can't be choosers for a couple of dollars difference.
@adinico: To anyone reading this: the Grey option is $8 cheaper on the listing price than Green or Blue. After discounts (10% FY1025 x 10% MCEOFY10, its not actually 20% but 19%), Grey ($319.99) becomes $259.19 and Blue/Green ($327.99) becomes $265.67
What code did you add , I could only get down to $287.00 !
@Murkymerv: The two advertised, initially eBay auto added one for $5, which I had to untick to use both FY1025 & MCEOFY10
p.s eBay+ user
Thanks. Came down to $259.19
This apparently has 5 Android upgrades. I'd get one… but Moto have have not been good with upgrades in the past. I've had 2 phones with them. Both times I was promised upgrades, both times they rolled back on that. But that was more than 10 years ago.
But fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me thrice, I've got a problem.
That's doesn't seem to be the case any more. I run 2 Moto G54's and an Edge 50 Neo in my household and they all get regularly bi-monthly security updates and have also gotten the latest OS on them all even though the G54's weren't originally promised for Android 15.
That's good to know. I don't need a new phone yet. I like my Pixel, but it was a bit pricey. I'll run it into the ground and then shop around.
thanks OP, this is my first comment.
Welcome to OzB, this is my 20482 comment.
showing AU $287.99. What am i missing?
Did you apply both codes?
The other code is for eBay plus members
only accept one coupon. I am a plus member too
Edit: Works now after refreshing the browser. Thank you!
pixel 7. do I switch?
No.
No
I'm on the 8. I say run your phone into the ground and then look at what's available then. Or keep the Pixel as a spare.
👉👌ing eSIMs. I found out the hard way. My Pixel wouldn't turn on one morning. My old phone was non-eSIM. I couldn't just swap physical SIMs out. I love the idea, but if your phone can't even turn on, there's no alternative.
Thanks all
Congratulations on your 1000th post!
@WatchNerd Username check out!
neeeeerrrd , congratulations for putting up with pagans 👍
Thanks! And I won’t be quitting OzBargain anytime soon, so more deals and comps to come!
Bought for my mum to replacing her aging A50, thanks OP. Been eyeing G75 deals for a while now, decided to pull the trigger on this one. Used Ebay gift card to effectively bring the price down to $254.
Nice, do you think its worth the upgrade from a G84?
I'd like to know too.
No, surely motorola will have another banging phone available at this price point when your g84 is getting long in the tooth. Been a motorola fan boy for close to 10 years now.
I am curious aswell, mine is the 12gb ram version not sure if that makes a different given these new models are all 8gb.
Wireless charging but might not support microsd
Water proof vs water resistant.
Maybe a slightly better camera??
Maybe slightly faster??
Smaller screen?
If your phones battery is still awesome I don't think it's a 'worth $259' upgrade.
Whats the camera like? GCam availablde?
They seem super big, is it a pain fitting it into the pocket?
They are big… after using the mini iPhones, I despise big phones. Perhaps save up and wait for another Pixel 9 Pro deal.
Thanks, what would be a good small budget phone option under $300, the pixel is outside my price range. While the g75 is tempting I’m worried it will be a bit too big.
I’m looking for the same. Still rocking the Pixel 6a for the time being.
Used to own a G84.
Considering the G75.
The only thing/s stopping me are:
- The G84 had unusually low max volume over Bluetooth (Motorola knew this bug yet never fixed it to my knowledge, stated it was normal behavior which is BS)
- Being IPS is there much screen ghosting when scrolling around at 120HZ?
Otherwise looks mighty tempting. Would appreciate answers from G75 owners.
Agreed, the BT volume issue also applies to the G31 and G82. I've got an unopened G75 wondering the same thing as I still use Garmin SatNavs with BT handsfree in a couple of older cars that I really can't justify spending money for new head units etc.
So any comments from G75 or indeed G85 owners on BT volume would be appreciated…
I've never had that issue with my g84.
did yours give you the warning popup to get max volume output?
please .
is it better than samsung a73
Worth upgrading to G75 from a 3yo S21 FE?
I'm no expert but I don't think the camera will be as good.
I don't think so
great price. insta buy
AU stock?
Details about item (6)
Is it phone Australian Stock ?
mobileciti_estore : Yes, We are only selling Australian stock.
Yes
I hate Motorola phones.
I had one and it kept giving me issues with the NFC, saying that the phone had been modified or something. Never did such a thing and the only way I could fix it is hard reset and lose all my photos and having to customise the whole thing again. And a month later it would happen again.
It seems that Motorola knows about this issue but they are unable to fix it since 2022 (at least).
As if blame motorola because you couldn't be bothered saving your photos before doing a reset…
Even if I had saved all my photos, still doesn't solve the problem that I would have had to hard reset the phone almost once a month.
Which brings a whole lot of other problems, like login in every single app, customizing the settings, installing all apps, going through several 2 factor authentication via sms/email, etc almost once a month.
this is absolutely not normal for motorola phones, maybe samstung but not motorola. I'd suggest take it back for warranty.
$295.15 for me, no eBay plus
