    Exynos 2400e

    Yeah nah

    • +12

Don't know why you are getting down voted the Exynos that Samsung keep putting into their phones to save $ is a dogs breakfast. I have had nothing but issues with them, you are getting less for your money getting an Exynos model than SD

      • +1

Same here. I’ll never touch one again.

  • If you have eBay Plus, use code 'PLUSSS' for $70 off instead of 'SSNOW' (which is $50 off).

Nvm, the Samsung code drops it below the $700 threshold, so only $50 off.

  • This or Pixel 9a?

    • +2

I'd go the 9A , better software longevity.

    • +2

      Performance - this
      Camera - 9a

    • +2

I switched from a s24 ultra to a pixel 9 pro and would never go back

      • +1

        good to know

but the 9a and 9 pro are completely different phones

        • +1

          yea, same range, S24u vs P9P = S24FE vs P9a

    • 9a

    • +2

      Any comparable deal for 9a?

    • +1

Jerry rigged 9a for how they did the battery.

  • I bought one yesterday with 3% discount eBay gift card after my Motorola G75 order was cancelled.

  • +5

Just to let you know the 256GB version is only +$80 for $679.00.

    • Do you have the link>? Thanks

      • Sorry, that's after you put in all the codes/coupons/etc:

        https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/306058202933?_skw=s24+fe&itmmeta…

        • I applied all the codes and the total price is: $699

          • +4

@T-man: Use PLUSSS instead of SSNOW since the phone is still over $700 threshold.
            It takes $70 off.

            • @Sikarion: It worked, thanks

            • @Sikarion: For some reason it is not working for me.

              • +1

@Jadeja: PLUSSS ($70/$50 depending on threshold) is only for ebay plus members.

                SSNOW ($50) is for all.

                • @ajm07: I just joined Ebay plus 1 hour ago, I guess that could be the reason

  • Good to know Samsung has eBay shop

    • +1

Samsung also has an Amazon store.

  • +1

Tempted to upgrade. My S20FE is starting to show its age.

    • +1

Do you mean the battery? I recently ordered a new one for mine, still waiting for delivery.
Hopefully it will be ok & keep mine running.

      • +2

The battery isn't too bad, I think it might be lagging lately is all

        • +1

We have 3 s20fe and they started lagging too, almost all at the same time, different uses, different accounts, different people. That is suspiciously funny

          • +1

@dealmaker: We have 2 Note 20 5G devices that have also started to lag lately and get very hot.

            • @Arch9896: Getting hot suggest that the CPU is under load. There maybe an app on your phone running that is consuming a lot of resources, slowing down your phone as well as chewing up your battery. I'd be investigating.

          • +1

@dealmaker: Interesting! Typing this on my S20FE 5G right now. Can't say that it's any slower than previously, though I have always run mine optimised with quite a few apps not needed put to sleep.

            • +1

@x d: Yes good idea, there's YouTube vids about turning stuff off on Android which might help.

              • +1

@WatchNerd: My wife's same unit was also running quite "normal", though her battery health is far lower as she is a far heavier user. She has switched over to an A55 now and is very happy with that (only because her S20FE 5G seal and camera was damaged, Exynos also appears to be a non issue IMO)

Have to say, I don't really see the need to change from my S20FE 5G at the moment if the battery health is still good.

      • How do you change the batt? Love my S20FE due to sd card slot. Still trying to prolong upgrading this and batt been suspiciously bad after the recent software upgrade and it heats up like crazy when charging

  • +2

$100 more and you can get a S24 with a decent fingerprint scanner.

    • -2

I thought people moved onto face unlock these days.

      • +1

I personally prefer the good ol' bone marrow unlock.

    • They both have fingerprint scanners. Are you saying the S24 is that much better?

      • +2

Yes the S24 is ultrasonic rather than the optical one.

        • Thanks, I did not know that.. chasing a S24 for the smaller screen but was tempted to get this as it is so much cheaper than the S24 and I thought they were the same otherwise.

        • Optical works way better for people with dry skin or worn fingerprints.

    • +1

Where can you get a S24 for only $100 more, or are you talking older deals? I can;t find a S24 under $1100.

  • If you buy from the ebay store, what's warranty like?

    • +3

Full Samsung Australia warranty. This is sold directly by Samsung

  • +3

Best phone I have ever owned. Its fast , its got great camera and video. The only drawback is that it only has 128GB, you really need 256GB+..

I have not had slowdown, heating issues.

Bargain top of the line phone and I'm not paying 1500 buck for more expensive phone.

    • I think a lot of people here got the S25 at half price after some preorder coupons and trade in bonuses

  • +1

    6.7"… Mi Max days… I miss you…

    • +1

      This is 6.7" 21:9, so really, it's a 5.5" phone stretched longer

Mi max would've been 7.5" if it had similar bezels as modern phones, and 8.8" had it been stretched to a 21:9.

Still my favourite phone despite its many issues.

      • Oh the Mi Max days… Wish they stopped making these flip and fold phones like it's the 90s again and stuck with Mi Max.

  • 128GB? nah

    • +2

I think it is only $80 more for the 256gb version.

      • More than what I paid for a S25 256GB…

        • +1

You got an S25 for less than $629!?

  • Just a heads up, you can't use FE editions with the samsung trade in.

    • Are you sure? Just tried and it's listed as an option. S24 FE on education portal is $692.37. However, they will not price match to eBay stores even if the eBay store is the Samsung Official Australia Store.

      • I was wrong. i wasn't able to when the s22 came out.

    • +1

i traded my S20FE on my S24 on the samsung website

  • +3

Love this! Got a blue 256GB one for my daughter $679. Thanks!
