Italian Nespresso Compatible Coffee Capsules - 150 Pods for $60 with Free Shipping @ L'Emporio Coffee Boutique

31

You’ve probably never heard of Gimoka. The company has humble roots, which started 30 years ago by Ivan Padelli, as a small coffee tasting and roasting house (la casa del caffè) on Lake Como in Northern Italy. Today the company is one of Italy's top three producers of coffee, used in thousands of homes in Italy and abroad.

L’Emporio Italian Coffee Boutique is the official distributor of Gimoka and Gran Caffè Garibaldi in Australia. We're two Melburnians and one Tuscan who just want to bring authentic Italian bar coffee to your Australian kitchen.

Our coffee pods are 100% compatible with all Delonghi/Breville Nespresso machines. The beans are Fairtrade and organic and are sourced from Central America and South-East Asia. They are shipped green to Lake Como, where they are masterfully blended and roasted before being heat-sealed and vacuum packed straight after roasting, so, unlike the capsules you buy at the shops, they won’t lose their flavour even if you leave them lying around on your kitchen counter.

We have put together a special limited edition taster pack for OzBargain with the very best of our Gimoka & Gran Caffè Garibaldi pods. $60 gets you 150 pods (works out to 40 cents for each Italian espresso).

The $60 deal with free shipping Australia wide is as follows:

  • 3 boxes of Gran Caffe Garibaldi Dolce Aroma
  • 3 boxes of Gran Caffe Garibaldi Gusto Top
  • 3 boxes of Gimoka Intenso
  • 3 boxes of Gimoka Vellutato
  • 3 boxes of Gimoka Deciso

Gran Caffè Garibaldi Gusto Top:
Our artisan small-batch label and our premium 100% Arabica coffee. An ode to the Italian legend Garibaldi with notes of cloves, lemons and chocolate.

Gran Caffè Garibaldi Dolce Aroma:
Full bodied & well rounded blend, this coffee is as sweet as it sounds with hints of caramel, apricot and coriander.

Intenso:
A strong & intense Robusta and Arabica blend coffee, this is our most popular coffee. Intense & floral with notes of chocolate and toasted hazelnuts to finish.

Vellutato:
A medium-intensity coffee, Vellutato is the one you enjoy with dessert after dinner. 100% Arabica, it's pure luxury.

Deciso:
Our dark roast coffee and a true homage to the Italian espresso, it’s one for any time of day. The Robusta and Arabica beans roasted for longer, giving them a stronger taste and woody aroma with hints of bitter cacao.

Quite fitting, a coffee post after a coffee mug post. Nice work OP 😉

    • We now need a donut post.

  • So what is the discount?

What is your normal price for these?

I find the better the story they tell the shittier the coffee. Speaking from personal experience of course.

You've been selling your 130 pod pack for $50

    https://web.archive.org/web/20170311220245/https://www.lempo…

That works out at $57.70 for 150 pods…

  • Garibaldi Dolce Aroma

    What about Gabbana?

  • We tell our story because our coffee pods aren't well know in Australia. A lot of people haven't heard of Gimoka or Gran Caffè Garibaldi, so I included the story about our pods not as an advertisement but because I wanted to share our story with the community and basically differentiate us from the mass market pods you can buy in the supermarket. Was trying to be helpful by providing more information… not trying to con anyone.

This pack was originally being sold at 0.49 cents per pod although we have had sales in the past, where our coffee was available for less. We only launched in Australia last year and sold our coffee pods for less as a LAUNCH special only.

I'm not really sure what my journalistic background has to do with anything. I am expat and journalist who lived and worked in Italy before launching her husband's coffee business in Australia. Is that a crime? I'm not a rep. I'm the co-owner. The one Melburnian who started this business with her husband and brother.

This is a bargain website though, not a free advertising website, your prices are what you normally sell these for, if not a bit more.

    • Please don't take it personally. Some geese may have had a bad day at work. Everyone can be a hero behind a keyboard.
Congrats on the new business. Best wishes.

Are you the 'brother' or the 'husband' ???

  • Wonder if these are compatible with the ppl who crack the sheitz when they find non nespresso pods in the dispenser.

The capsules made of recyclable aluminum?

  • Would really like to try these but not paying full price!

  • Considering they are ground right after roasting and then shipped to Australia, what makes it any different to pods sold at the shops? I'm sure they would also be roasted then ground straight away and then packed. No company, including Gimoka, is going to let their roasted beans sit and degas. Every company that ships their pods in from overseas will still have the same issues with staleness coming from transit time. Pods bought from the shops would also be vacuum packed.

I don't see how these would be any different from pods from the shops except for the actual beans themselves.
