LEGO Star Wars Death Star 75159 $569.96 (after Discounts) at Myer (RRP $799.95)

ANNIVERSARY20

Hi guys,

I hope this is not considered a double up as I saw the other post of this kit with the 'ANNIVERSARY20' code that is marked as expired.

Well the code still works and I just went to Myer to buy the $500 or giftcards and got the $50 free instantly as a card. I then came home and ordered it online using the discount code and giftcards so only had to pay $569.96 in total!

This is the cheapest I've ever seen it and as a bonus the person who served me at Myer scanned my Myer One card for me (thought they didn't when buying gift cards?). So I'd assume I get points on it and free shipping for this online.

Hope this helps someone who wants this kit, better get in today as last day to get the gift card bonus.

Better off waiting for 25% off like last time and apply the code to get it down to $580 BEFORE gift card discounts.. Gift cards can be used anytime so nothing wrong with waiting for a bit longer for a better deal, unless you really need it now.

You wont get Myer One points by purchasing GC although they scan your Myer One card

    • Gotta collect that personal data to sell to third parties and create arrangements where the customer gives you more money without knowing!

  • Considering Death Star II is one of the most expensive lego sets, so if you buy and keep it in pristine conditions, in 10 years time the price might doubled or tripled. Better return than investment property😁.

Wow, i paid $600 for my first car. A while ago

  • So if you have access to 10 Amex cards (I can only access 7 between myself and my wife) you could theoretically buy $500 worth of gift cards (single GC preferable if you find a nice employee) for $300 via the vogue Amex deal) and also get 10 x $10 bonus Myer gift cards.

Ie spend $300 for $600 worth of Myer gift cards. You may need to see if you can price match the Myer online deal in store though to utilize the many $10 GCs as well.

I'm not into lego but this might tempt some fans out there.

    • FYI. Cannot edit my above post but I meant to say spend $300 for $550 worth of Myer gift cards. Not $600. You get only 1 x $10 gift cards per $100 worth purchased.
Edit again: Just realized that the OP already applied the discount of $50 in this post so please note that the ANNIVERSARY20 discounted price is $619.96 and not the $569.96 value I assumed.
You will need to purchase around $600 worth of GCs using 12 Amex cards (@$50 a pop) to maximize the discount. Not too obtainable for most.

      • Yes, the amount shown by OP is a bit misleading, and usually discounts before and after gift cards should be separated out to be clear (i.e. $619.96 and $569.96 should have been quoted as two separate numbers).

        • Yeah. I would have stuck with the $619.96 price and then said add Amex and Myer $10 discounts in top

Be very careful while building this

I recommend you block the exhaust ports or it might explode. 😄

I am more afraid it will come under attack before completion

  • I did $600 in gift cards in store. Got to choose the box as well. Well the lovely AFOL cashier chose my box from out back. Non crushed corners and flat edges and no dents due to security lasso. Worth the extra time and expense as the box is really heavy.

My wifes Anniversary email expired so couldn't use.
