  I have the older model 65k3300uw. I feel that if you can source a better brand for a few hundred more, I think perhaps its worth it. Mine was ok as was cheap at the time ($1157). But unless the new series has improved out of sight maybe worth the money for something better. The series 7 is much better I believe. If you do buy one check the backlight uniformity as soon as you get it. My first set had horrible flashlighting, replacement was decent enough for the price but still has clouding on the top right of the screen. Acceptable for me i.e. price.

  The 7000 series is a much better tv than these models.
  They have got best value TV 2 years running. They perform at a much higher price point for not a lot more.
