Dj86 you need some samples of bargains, including prices otherwise this is just advertising and should be removed.

  • Ok thanks for the heads up. Will put some up shortly.

  • I never understood the purpose of light bars. Everyone seems to have them so shouldn't car companies just include them from the factory? Or is it just a big wank?

  • The factory headlights only project light so far forward as per design rules, auxiliary lighting which projects further than the main headlights and high beams is where LED light bars and other sources come in to assist in highway and off road lighting for safety at night.

  • LED light bars are great in the bush, but all light and no quality on the road.
    1) CRI is rubbish
    2) At 5,000k+, colour resolution is really poor

  • There are some light bars on the market that don't have designed reflectors but chrome coated plastic which does not work as they should. KC Hilites design their optics to ensure light is projected forward and in some cases wider to cover the road ahead. They have been working with off road racing teams since the 1970s to ensure lighting is adequate for high speed racing, this then flows on to consumers with high quality optics that they offer.

Their 23 year warranty is commitment to consumers of a well designed and constructed product and that is why we sell their products in our store.
