  • So are these cheap lcd tv's complete crap or….actually alright?

    • I've had the 32" Full HD model in the entertainment room for approx 12 months now and it works great. Never really noticed the improved pic quality when looking at HD/LCD tv's on display but WOW what an improvement this brand made even just to my media player menu screens - like I almost didn't even need to wear my glasses anymore to read the menus. I'm tempted to get this as an upgrade and move the 32" to the bedroom :)

VIVO australian support is also very good and responsive. Needed help understanding/checking functionality of the EPG reminder feature and they looked into it and called me back - just didn't get the response I wanted - i.e. the reminder system didn't work the way I expected it to.

  • A lot of features lacking on these cheap units can be extended through media centres. Then the TV is basically only used as a display for a another device. Of course, that doesn't mean that picture quality improves, but it becomes a lot more useful with a HTPC for example.
